Alpha Baron’s POV

Several minutes flew by, yet I was unable to take my eyes off Richard who had long buried his head.

“Are you certain?” I asked, shifting my gaze to the ceiling.

“Yes sir. I overheard it from the palace maids when they were talking about it. The reason why your attention haven't been drawn to it is because of your absence.”

Gritting my teeth in anger, I balled my hands into a fist, trying to forget about everything I had heard. Right now, I felt I was being betrayed by those I called my family.
