Clarissa:

I woke up in the morning with a frown on my face.

The sun's rays beamed down on me and I was forced to get out of bed with the groan. Today was the day; today was the day I went back to Erica's house and resumed my miserable life working for her.

The mere thought of it made me groan in frustration and roll over in bed. I was hoping to ask her if she could squeeze out one more day for me. I was hoping to get my new home refurbished before I got back to her.

I grabbed my phone and looked at the screen. There were no calls from her and Lorenzo hadn't called me again since last night.

He called me the night before and was in a terrible drunken state. I could barely hear what he was muttering and finally, he ended the call.

When I tried to call back, his phone rang but there was no reply.

I couldn't explain how much my heart felt, seeing that he had called me but it seemed that I got my expectations up too high and he pushed me away the next second.
