I Want You Back

I stood on the road for a while still unable to move while passersby looked at me with pity in their eyes.I suddenly noticed another car driving at full speed and I was forced to run out of the road to avoid being splashed dirty water on for the second time."There goes my chance of seeing my one true love," I thought to myself as I walked back home sadly. I didn't want Mabel to see me crying so I wiped my tears and adjusted my voice before entering the house. When Mabel saw me, she was surprised, "who did this to you? Is that why your eyes are so red?"I opened my mouth to explain but despite how hard I tried not to, I found myself crying again. I hated the fact that I was a crybaby and many times, people assumed that Mabel was the older one since she always acted more maturely.I was even tempted sometimes to treat her like my big sister. Like right now, I threw my body on hers and wept while she tried her best to console me.When I finally calmed down, she asked, "are you crying b

I heard the prince's order but I knew that I couldn't let him see my face. What would happen if he discovered that I had been secretly staring at him? I thought about different punishments that could be meted out to me. From whipping to being locked up in the royal prison, there were different punishments for intruders who got into the palace without approval. The only thought that came to my mind was to run, yes, I wouldn't let him catch me no matter what. The guards at the door would not try to stop me since they saw me go in with the maid and before the prince would realize, I will be out of the palace. This was my perfect plan and without thinking twice about it, I tried to run, however, someone caught my arm and I gasped in fright. I didn't even hear a sound, how did the prince catch up with me so quickly? Perhaps I didn't hear him walking towards me because I was a bundle of nerves.I wriggled my arm to try and free it from his hold but he held on to it and spun me around so I

The king and queen were surprised by the noises they heard. They stared at each other briefly as they recognized their son's voice.Just before they got to the door, Bastian came out dragging Amelia by the hair and flung her to the ground. She ended up at the feet of the king and queen and covered her face in shame as she wept. Ivy couldn't bear to see her friend's condition. She ignored the royal formalities and ran to Amy but before she could reach her, the queen bent down and helped Amy up from the ground. She stared at the prince angrily and said, "this is no way to treat a lady."Bastian cursed his luck that his parents appeared at such a time but he couldn't hold himself back. "Who is a lady? This stinking, cheap, fish seller had the effrontery to pretend that she is an heiress and spend the night in my bed."The queen stared at him in shock, "how do you know she is a fish seller?""She told me herself," he replied. When Ivy stood beside Amy and the queen, Amy threw herself on

Amelia came down from the taxi which stopped by the street leading to her house. She ran fast because she didn't want people to stare at her or anyone to ask her what happened. Her younger sisters, Mabel and Maria were worried about her. When she hadn't returned last night, Mabel had called her number many times but she did not answer.Worried, Mabel had called her friend Ivy who informed her that Amy was spending the night at the palace. Despite hearing from Ivy, Mabel had still been worried.Amy wasn't the sort to spend the night outside her home, she had never done so and there was also the issue of her not answering her calls. She knew that Ivy was hiding something from her but there was nothing she could do at that moment. They both decided to stay back from the market and wait for Amy, if she didn't come back or return their calls, they would go to the palace and search for her.Amy suddenly ran into the house, shocking both Mabel and Maria. They got up and stared at her in surp

"You are not dreaming," Mabel replied without sharing Amy's enthusiasm. Even Ivy was staring at Amy in surprise. She knew Amy loved the prince but didn't she love herself? Or had she forgotten what the prince did to her?Neither of them discouraged her in the queen's presence though because they did not want to hurt her feelings. The queen got up and asked Amy, "so what is your answer, my child? Do you consent to this wedding?""Yes, my queen" Amy replied. "If the prince wants to marry me then I'm ready to be his bride."The queen smiled, "that is good to hear my dear. The wedding will take place in five days. These gifts are for you, my darling. I know that the date seems sudden but since you have both agreed to this wedding, there's no need to delay it.I will send one of my drivers to pick you up in two days so you can try out your wedding gown. Let me have your number so I can call you later in the evening. We have so much more to talk about before the wedding."Amy happily calle
