Luna Charlotte
Charlotte...
It's been a few days since the strange dream I had. I have decided to forget about it and not think much about the dream because that was just a dream. I was currently busy cleaning the main house after the Alpha ordered me to make sure everything is ready for Alpha Damon's arrival and that they wanted everything to look spotless. I know what will happen if I don't clean every inch of this place.
It's been raining for the past three days. I haven't been able to fix the holes in my roof since I've been busy getting everything ready for the Alpha's arrival. I don't know who he is and I sure as hell don't want to be here to find out when he arrives. I have learned that Alphas and Lunas are more dangerous than the other members of a pack so I will make sure I stay away from them.
If it weren't for Mrs. Paige, who brought me food last night, I don't know if I would have been able to handle all this work today. I'm thankful that she brought me the food since I haven't eaten in days and with this weather, I couldn't go out to hunt.
Thunder boomed, making me whimper. I hate thunder. It always reminds me of the first day the Alpha started abusing me. It also reminds me of my father.
My first beating from the Alpha was on a rainy day like today. I was coming from school and made a mess with my muddy shoes. He took me to my room and started beating me. With each thunder, he would hit me harder, making me cry louder and the beatings became harder. That day was the worst day of my life since it was always our Luna that beat me.
But the memory of my father in this weather was painful in another sense. He would hold me whenever I was afraid of the thunder, making me miss him on days like this. I wish they were still here, telling me that everything would be alright.
I close my eyes, hoping that when I leave here, the rain will have stopped before I must go back home since it's a far walk back, especially in this weather, which I hate!
I was done cleaning and preparing for the Alpha's arrival, thanks to Mrs. Paige, who offered to help me; otherwise, I would have never finished in time.
The night had already fallen when Luna ordered me to run to the store to get some fresh flowers for the table. Why can't they just get some from the garden? I mean, I'm the one who planted the roses and it's looking beautiful, but I know it's their way to punish me. She knows how much I fear thunder so instead of suggesting that I decide to do what I was told to do, I don't want another beating.
I'm not allowed to take a car, so I must walk to the store to get the flowers, and if I refuse, I know the consequences. As I walked down the road, something inside me stirred, like something was about to happen. Do you know that feeling?
The thunder was getting harder by the second, making me simpler as I picked up my pace.
I looked up at the sky as the cold raindrops continued to fall on my face but instead of getting cold, I felt hot, like I wasn't standing under the rain but the sun instead.
What was going on with me?
A wave of energy surged through me, and I took off my sandals and started running. That's when I noticed that I could see better in the darkness than I have ever been able to see, and it felt like I was running faster than I usually do.
I got to the store and quickly grabbed a bouquet of roses while the people looked at me like I was some homeless girl. I take out the money and quickly pay for the flowers, having had enough of all the stares. I hate it when people are at me.
I walked back to the house, hoping that none of the pack members were inside the store; otherwise, they would stop me and then beat me senseless. I'm scared sh*tless not only because of being seen by pack members but also because of the thunder that's now heavy.
As I walked, my smelling sense got better; I could smell the humans among the other wolves, and I could smell the coffee one of the people was carrying in their hands. I could hear their whispers as I did in the store, but I didn't pay much attention to them until now. I could hear the wind blowing like it was howling.
I decided to pick up my pace and walk faster. Something is definitely about to happen, and I don't want to stick around to find out.
"Charlotte!" I hear a strange voice calling me. I turn around on the dark street leading to the pack house in the woods. I can't see anyone out there calling me.
"Who's out there?" I yelled after building up enough courage.
"It's me," the voice replies again
"Come out and show yourself!" I bravely yelled out, I know what silly old me is going to do when someone attacks me?
"I can't."
I frowned, wondering, "Why?"
"Because you can't see me, I'm your wolf," the voice replied, making my eyes go wide.
"How? I mean, why now?" I was confused.
"I don't know why you would have to ask the moon goddess; all I know is that she sent me to you to protect you.
" my wolf says, and I had the urge to scream at her.
I was happy and shocked at the same time. Protect me against what?
Maybe now the pack won't abuse me?
I'm not wolf-less.
I have a wolf! After all these years, I finally have a wolf!
"Can I ask you something?"
“Yes.”
"Why didn't you appear when I was 17?"
"I can't give you all the answers but to begin, your parents and the moon goddess had put a spell on you and since they did that to protect you, I was never to come out until the right time. Now enough of the questions, you will soon find out the whole truth," I hear my wolf say.
"I guess better late than never." I smile, almost forgetting that I need to hurry up.
I was now hoping along the road, happy that I have a wolf, not caring if the thunder is getting louder. I must tell Alpha and Luna once I get home; maybe then they will accept me. I don't care if I'm drenched in water and that my feet are all muddy, but I must tell them that I'm finally one of them and that the moon goddess blessed me with a wolf.
As I got closer to the house, a smell that I'm not familiar with hit me. It smelled like forest trees mixed with musk. Who or what did it belong to?
"Do you smell that?" I asked my wolf.
Instead of replying, she just hummed, making me frown.
Rude much? I wondered.
I walked up to the main house, and I could feel my heartbeat increase when I realized that the smell was coming from behind the door.
I was nervous to knock on the door. What if I don't like where the smell is coming from? What if I knock and they open, and my whole life will change?
I have to knock; Luna Helen is probably waiting for the flowers. I reminded myself.
I was just about to knock when the door opened, and a man was standing there in the doorway.
The man in front of me was very tall and he had to bend down. He was now staring down at me with his gray eyes, observing every part of me and I had to suppress a whimper from escaping my mouth.
He had clean-cut dark brown hair, gray eyes that pierced my soul as he looked into my eyes, soft plump lips, and a strong jawline.
Only one word came to mind: gorgeous!
I wanted to look away, but it was like his eyes held me captive. I have never, in my twenty years of existence, seen such a handsome man before. It was like he was daring me to break eye contact first.
I was still staring as I listened to my wolf purr until she shocked me with her words.
"Mate!"
I almost fainted when I heard my wolf suddenly say those words.
How can it be? I have waited forever for this moment.
"You must be joking, right?" I asked her but she hummed in response.
"Where are the flowers? And stop staring at our guest; you are being disrespectful!" Luna's voice breaks the spell I'm under.
I quickly break eye contact and look at her and our Alpha. "I'm sorry, Luna, I just got here." I apologize quickly, handing her the flowers as she snatched them from my hands.
"You can't even buy decent flowers!" I hear her complain before she throws the flowers in my face and I let them fall to the ground. I wish the earth would open and swallow me.
"My apologies, Alpha Damon; this Omega always causes trouble," Alpha says, making me step back as it hits me.
My mate is an Alpha!
No! No, it can't be! We can't; I'm an omega!
I felt sick! No, please, no! I was no longer happy; instead, the happiness I felt a few minutes ago was replaced by fear.
I know how cruel an Alpha can be. Our Alpha has beaten me up and broken some of my bones and it took weeks for me to recover. If I didn't listen, he would sometimes lock me up in a dark room with silver chains wrapped around my wrists and ankles, and then he would use wolfsbane on me just for the fun of it.
"Get out of here before my beta drags you out of here, omega!" My Alpha's voice threatened me.
felt like vomiting. My heartbeat increased not out of happiness but out of fear.
I took another step back as I saw our Alpha glaring at me. Then I took another step and looked at my mate but the look in his eyes held disgust as if I wasn't his mate after learning that I'm only an Omega.
I can feel the tears burning my eyes. I look at where Luna and Alpha were standing before I turn around and run.
I ran as fast as I could, not sparing one more glance at my mate.
I don't know where I should hide because I'm sure he would find me, and I don't want to think about what he would do once he finds me.
"Please tell me he isn't our mate!" I begged my wolf, but she didn't reply, probably mad that I ran away from our mate.
"Do you know what he will do to us?" I yelled, trying to get her attention.
I ran, not once looking back.
Luna CharlotteTwo years later...It's been two years since Charlotte gave birth to their son, William. They have been living a peaceful life thus far without any threats. Everyone in the supernatural world was happy when they learned that the Princess had given birth to a little boy. Charlotte and Damon don't know if William will be like his mother; only time will tell. Although Charlotte wishes he only had a wolf, she knows that if he had her powers, she would do anything in her power to protect her little boy if someone wanted to harm him. The people excepted the fact that she wanted to live a normal life and not that of a queen like her parents."Eight, seven, six," Damon's voice filled the quiet room. He stood in the corner of the living room counting."five, four, three," Before Charlotte came into his life; he never cared much about spending time with loved ones. He always thought t was a waste of time. He would prefer work either in the office or par=trolling the borders. But h

She wanted to wrap her tiny hands around his neck and... "Take a big breath and relax," she reminded herself.Damon had been good to her so far. He didn't mind her mood swings because he knew it was her hormones and pregnancy. She knew Damon didn't deserve the wrath of her pregnancy. She had mood swings and to be honest she doesn't know how Damon is still able to keep up with her. She knows it takes two to do the tango but hell, why does a woman go through all these changes alone? Can't a man have some of the symptoms of pregnancy since they helped to create the little life growing in their wife's stomach? She was in her thirty-ninth week and still hadn't experienced any labor pains. She hasn't been moving as much as she liked. All she did was walk to the kitchen and back to their room. She k

The baby kicked her ribs until they ached, and the baby only stopped when Damon whispered to it. So far, her pregnancy has been relatively easy. Doctor Freddie told her the due date is March. She glanced at the calendar at saw that it was only fourteen February, Valentine's Day. She loved special days, especially this one. She was going to do something special for Damon. He was her savior and lover, even though he had initially hurt her.He had shown her endlessly how much he loved her over the past few months, and while some of her friends talked about relationship problems, she had none. She and Damon had simple rules. Don't go to bed angry, be honest at all times and always end arguments and disagreements with a compromise. He gave her what she wanted most of the time. They made that rules after they got married. Damon was afraid that he would do
Luna CharlotteThird-person POV...The pack house had been decorated for Christmas for the first time in ten years. When Charlotte had gone searching for boxes of decorations, she was shocked to learn that they didn't decorate. She couldn't understand why. Sonia told her that they didn't celebrate as a pack. She had asked one of the warriors to help her carry a pine tree since they didn't have a Christmas tree. Charlotte dragged Sonia and Anna to the closest shop and picked out ornaments and decorations; since this was all new to her, she knew she would need all the help she could get. She had the pack woman helping her decorate the pack house.Damon was in the middle of a meeting when he smelled pine. It was a distinctive smell. They didn't have pine on the pack land, only outside the borders. He stood up from his chair, interrupting Giovanni. He moved the curtains back and almost laughed at the sight. Two warriors were struggling to carry a huge pine tree through the front door, and
Luna CharlotteCharlotte...This is it. This is the day I have always dreamed about. It's finally happening. My heart was beating painfully against my rib cage as I thought about walking down the aisle toward the man I would spend the rest of my life with. I found myself swooning, my eyes closed. I snapped my eyes open and mentally face-palmed myself. I stood in front of a floor-length mirror in my wedding dress and flats and could not stop freaking out—a lot of what if's run through my head. The dress was a warm ivory color that Sonia and Anna picked out for me. It showed off my pregnant belly, lined with jewels and intricate patterns. There were thin sleeves on my shoulder. It was comfortable, and I loved it."Charlotte?" Amy called out from the room behind me."Come on; we have to do your hair."I turned and picked up parts of my dress, stepping off the platform and walking through the door for my hair and make-up. Anna patted a chair in front of her, and I obliged, sitting delicat

Damon proposed to Charlotte a month before, and now they are busy planning the wedding. Peter is doing a good job running the Nightwalker pack alongside his Luna Amy. They have completed the mating steps. Vincenzo and Lyndsay are in the process of completing the mating bond. It took him a while to get used to the idea of having a second chance mate, but they are slowly learning to accept each other. Giovanni and Andrea have announced that they will also be parents. Paige and Eric often visit them whenever they can. Charlotte is happy with how her life turned out. The Vampire's and witches all excepted that Charlotte was now a werewolf's mate, and they all agreed to leave her in peace and serve her whenever she needed help. There was peace knowing they won't attack Damon because of her. She was afraid that one of the others might not want to accept the fa
