Madison's POV
I drove to the hospital drenched in tears because of the fight between me and Violet.Upon arriving at the hospital, I got to the receptionist table and made inquiries, I was directed to a compassionate doctor who listened attentively to my concerns. The doctor conducted a thorough examination and performed additional tests to assess my health before going through with the abortion. To my shock, the results revealed a critical medical condition that would make proceeding with the abortion a life-threatening risk."Doctor Reynold, why can't I have the abortion? I do not understand what you are saying." I asked the doctor who seemed hesitant to talk with me. "Can I speak with your guardian or the baby's daddy?" Dr Reynold asked, looking very concerned."It's just me, doctor, nobody else." I looked down at my hands"Okay, You have Asp" Dr Reynold Said."Dr if I may ask what is that?" I asked now concerned."It is a rare blood clotting disorder known as antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). APS is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks certain proteins in the blood, leading to an increased risk of blood clots." Dr Reynold explained." I don't understand, what does that have to do with my abortion?" I asked, Dr Reynold sighed."This condition poses a significant risk during surgical procedures, including abortion, as it can increase the likelihood of blood clots forming and potentially leading to life-threatening complications such as strokes, heart attacks, or pulmonary embolisms."Dr Reynold paused, stood up and handed me a bottle of water."The combination of APS and the necessary surgical intervention for the abortion could pose an unacceptable danger to Madison's health and life. " Dr Reynold explained the gravity of the situation and strongly advised against the procedure. The news sent waves of fear and confusion through me."Dr, you are saying I could possibly die if I have this operation?" I asked to be sure if what I heard was correct."Yes,Miss Madison, that's what I'm saying," Doctor Reynold responded calmly."What do I do now?" I asked, tears rolled down my cheeks."You will keep the child and I will recommend some medication to help during the pregnancy" Dr Reynold explained.I nodded my head "thank you Dr, I will see to my next appointment."As I walked out of the hospital, my mind was swirling with a mix of emotions. The weight of the news I had just received about my medical condition and the impossibility of going through with the abortion left me feeling overwhelmed and lost. Tears streamed down my face,it felt as if I wasn't able to breathe at the moment as I tried to process the gravity of the situation.Driving home, I couldn't shake off the fear and confusion that enveloped me. "What did I do wrong?" I screamed, honking my car, tears running down my eyesWhere did I go wrong? This isn't what I plannedI questioned the unfairness of it all, grappling with the reality that my plans had been abruptly shattered by my health. As I stepped into the quietness of her house, I could feel the weight of the day's events pressing upon me. Violet wasn't home. The emptiness of the house only amplified my feelings of solitude. Seeking solace, I made my way to the shower, hoping that the flowing water would help wash away the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. With trembling hands, I turned on the shower, feeling the water cascading over my body. The warm droplets enveloped me, creating a soothing sensation that provided a temporary respite from the chaos of my thoughts. As I stood under the showerhead, I closed my eyes, allowing the water to wash away the tears and the burden I had carried. With each passing moment, I felt a sense of release, as if the water was carrying away my pain and confusion. The rhythmic sound of the water served as a calming backdrop, drowning out the noise of the world outside and allowing my mind to find some semblance of tranquility.I woke up to the sound of Violet's voice,I didn't even realize I had slept off under the running water."Jesus, Madi, have you gone mad?" Violet rushed to put off the shower. I looked at her with my swollen eyes. "Are you okay?" Violet asked the moment she looked me in the eyes, she helped me out of the shower. I didn't want to tell her but I couldn't help. I hugged her and Burst into tears crying my eyes out in the comfort of her hug."Madi, what's wrong? You know you can talk to me right?" She said still trying to calm me down."I didn't go through with the abortion" I told her."It's Good thing then why are you crying?" She asked,Violet listened attentively as I poured my heart, sharing the overwhelming emotions and the recent revelation about my medical condition. Violet's eyes filled with concern as she wrapped me in a comforting blanket, offering her support and understanding."Oh, Madi, I'm so sorry you're going through this," Violet said softly, gently rubbing my back."I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. But please know that I'm here for you, no matter what. We'll get through this together."Tears continued to stream down my face as I leaned into Violet's comforting embrace. "I just never expected this," I whispered, my voice filled with vulnerability. "I thought I had a choice, but now it feels like that choice has been taken away from me. It's overwhelming." Violet squeezed my hand gently, offering a reassuring presence. "I know it's a lot to process, and it's okay to feel all these emotions. It's natural to mourn the loss of the choice you thought you had. But remember, you're not alone. We'll find a way to navigate through this, and I'll be here every step of the way."I nodded, finding solace in Violet's words. Thank you, Violet," I whispered, my voice filled with gratitude. "I don't know what I would do without you. Your friendship means the world to me and I am sorry about earlier."Violet smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting the depth of their bond. "You don't have to thank me and you don't have to be sorry, Madi. Friends are there for each other through thick and thin. And we're in this together, remember? We'll face whatever comes our way." I hugged her."Just go clean up, I will make lunch" Violet suggested I smiled.I had my bath, wore something thick because I was already shivering from staying under the shower for a long time. I went down to the sweet aroma of Violet's cooking. The enticing scent filled the air, instantly lifting my spirits. As I entered the kitchen, I saw Violet bustling around, preparing a delicious lunch for us. The sight brought a smile to my face, grateful for her comforting presence and her willingness to take care of me.Violet looked up from the stove, her eyes filled with warmth. "Feeling a little better, Madi?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.I nodded, appreciating her thoughtfulness. "Yes, being here with you, it's helping. Thank you for everything, Violet."She smiled and placed a plate in front of me. "You don't have to thank me, Madi. Friends look out for each other, especially during tough times. Now, let's eat. I made your favorite pasta dish."The aroma of the pasta wafted through the room, instantly making my mouth water. We sat at the table, enjoying the meal and engaging in light-hearted conversation. It was a brief respite from the weight of the situation, a moment of normalcy in the midst of chaos. As we ate, Violet kept me entertained with funny anecdotes and stories, reminding me of the bond we shared and the laughter we had experienced together. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and familiarity, grounding me in the midst of uncertainty. After finishing our meal, we cleared the table together, the clinking of dishes creating a comforting rhythm. As we washed the dishes side by side, I felt a renewed sense of strength. I knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with Violet by my side, I felt more capable of facing the challenges that awaited me.Once the kitchen was clean, we settled in the living room, wrapped in cozy blankets. We talked, laughed, and simply enjoyed each other's company. As the day turned into evening,I leaned into the warmth of the blanket, In the cozy living room."Let's watch my favorite TV show," Violet suggested."Okay sure" I smiled. She put on her favorite show, she was busy watching the show while I was locked up in my phone."That's my man, right there, my favorite man" I chuckled, I raised my head slightly to watch her playful gesture."That's my man Adrian Myles walker." Violet said , the name Adrian ringing a bell in my head. I raised my head out of curiosity to see this Adrian guy and a wave of shock pass through my entire body"That's Him" I said, Violet looked at me utterly confused."Who?" She questioned"Adrian, that's my baby daddy." I revealed. Please don't go without dropping a comment, yes you, am talking to you 😘
Madison's POV"That's him," I said pointing at the tv, Violet looked at me utterly confused."Who?" Violet questioned"Adrian, that's my baby daddy." I revealed."That Adrian?" Violet looked at me as if I was crazy, she paused then burst into laughter."Yes, him," I said more firmly this time around."Girl, quit playing, that right there is Adrian Myles Walker and how can you say he was the one," Violet said, obviously not believing what I was saying."But are you serious?" Violet stood up from the couch looking at me."Yes, I am," I took my seat on the couch.Violet brought out her phone and browsed his picture and showed them to me, "is this him? Like is this the man you spent the night with? Are you sure?""Yes, he is the one and I am sure about it," I said."But you couldn't remember before, how did you suddenly remember him?" Violet asked."When I heard his voice on the TV, especially his laughter, I somehow remembered him joining me outside and the way he laughed was unique," I s
Madison's POVI was confused as to how Violet knew Xavier had an Adrian Empire VIP card because even I can't remember him having it."Xavier has a fucking VIP card," Violet said, I could hear the excitement in her voice."Hmmm?" I asked, confused."I said, Xavier has a VIP card," Violet repeated."How do you know? Even I don't know that," I said, sounding unsure, my brain trying to see if I had ever seen a VIP card with Xavier."The bag, the dinner dress, the shoe, and the entire set of jewelry that Xavier got you for your anniversary, it had a VIP tag on it and those items can only be gotten by a VVIP client," Violet explained."Yes, I knew Xavier was rich but I didn't know if he was that rich," I said."Can you remember how he placed the order?" Violet stood up and walked into my room after some time she came out with the items, they were placed in a VVIP bag.Looking at the bag saddened me, "Too bad he never got to see me where this," I said, my voice low but hurt."Whatever, his lo
Madison's POVI sat in front of the dressing mirror, carefully arranging my makeup, preparing for the meet and greet event. I reluctantly wore the dress and jewelry that Xavier had picked up for me from Adrian's empire. Part of me hesitated, but I knew I had to wear it if I wanted Adrian to notice me."Are you ready?" Violet's voice echoed from the living room. Instead of shouting back, I simply grabbed my bag and made my way to the living room."How do I look?" I nervously inquired, absently scratching my fingers together."Wow, girl! You look stunning," Violet said with a smirk, causing a genuine smile to cross my face."Whatever," I replied, feigning nonchalance. I walked past her and grabbed the car keys from the table."Are you coming?" I raised an eyebrow, trying to hide my smile, then headed to the car, hearing Violet's footsteps close behind me.After a long drive, we finally arrived at the venue. It was a grand, lavishly decorated hall, and the attendees exuded an air of opule
Madison's POV"Oh my God,""Did she just throw up on Adrian?""What an attention seeker,"I could hear people making all sorts of comments, and Adrian just stood there, looking at me with a shocked expression. He opened his mouth, seemingly trying to say something, but then closed it.What do I do now? What should I do? What would Violet have done in this situation? My mind went blank in the face of my own embarrassment. This was one of those moments when I wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole. Without thinking twice, I closed my eyes and dropped to the ground.I silently prayed not to land on the hard floor, and as if the heavens were on my side, I felt myself falling into Adrian's rock-hard chest and strong arms.Damn! I didn't know he was this masculine, fuck that alcohol."Madison!" Violet yelled and ran to me."What's wrong with her, what did you do to her, what did you say to her!" Violet yelled, I could hear her voice break."I didn't do anything," I could feel A
Madison's POV"Xavier?" I managed to choke out, my voice barely a whisper. I couldn't believe I was seeing Xavier or maybe I was in Dreamland or something, reality came crashing in when I heard Violet's voice."Madi are you okay?" Violet stood up and touched my face gently.I grunt in pain waking everyone up, "A bit, my baby?" I looked at her, my eyes pleading to hear good news."Your woman is okay," Adrian got up from the chair, walked towards us, and my eyes broke away from Violet."Thanks man," Xavier got up and gave Adrian a handshake and a brotherly hug."I better get going, I got plan," Adrian smiled slyly."With whom?" Xavier asked suspiciously."My woman," Adrian smiled widened."Is she town now?""Nope going to pick her up from the airport," Adrian clicked his tongue."Alright, let me see you off," they both walked out of the door and I immediately turned to Violet."What happened to me? How is my baby doing? Why did Adrian and Xavier sleep here? Who called Xavier? Does
Madison's POV"I am pregnant," I bent my head waiting for his response but there wasn't any, I raised my head to see him waving at someone from behind me."Xavier?" I called out gently, hoping he had heard what I said but he didn't."Huh?" He looked at me and I shook my head, another failed attempt. The person Xavier was waving at came to our booth and it was no other than Adrian and a tall beautiful model-like lady beside him."Bro!" Xavier and Adrian exchanged greetings and did their brotherly handshake and hug."Lexie, it's been long," Xavier greeted the girl."Yeah right, you refused to come see me in the state," Lexie chulcked, she flirtingly put her manicured nails on Xavier's arm."Lexie, if eyes could kill, would kill you right now," Adrian laughed pointing at me."Who?" Lexie pointed at me like she didn't see me earlier."Xavier's baby mama," Adrian said and my head immediately snapped so hard to look at him. Before anyone could say anything I quickly introduced myself, "I am
Madison's POV5 years later.Today makes it five years since my accident, four years since I got out of a coma with no memory of who I was, three years and six months since I got out of a vegetable State after so much surgery and therapy and exactly two years since Layana passed away dues to a medical condition only Xavier was informed about.Nobody ever told me anything about my accident, Xavier didn't tell me anything about Layana's medical condition, I have been kept in the dark and I never questioned it, thinking it was for the better.Violet and I waited at the airport for my baby boy Ryan, my boyfriend Xavier, and his friend Lexie. Xavier and Ryan went on a father-son bonding while Lexie just somehow met them there."Mama," Ryan let go of Lexie's hand and ran to hug me, I picked him up from the ground and gave him a tight hug."Baby, how are you doing?" I giggled and kissed him all over his face."Ryan misses you," Ryan hugged me tightly, his little finger wrapped around my neck
Madison's POVAs I walked down the stairs in tears I heard someone call my name, I turned to see who was standing at the top of the stairs but the person was faceless.I tried to look closely but the person pushed me down the stairs, I screamed as I rowed down the stairs.I fell at the last stairs in my pool of blood, I looked up to see the chandelier falling from the ceiling, falling towards me. I closed my eyes waiting for the impact but nothing. When I tried opening my eyes, I couldn't, I tried moving my body but I couldn't, I felt someone trying to suffocate me, and I managed to open my eyes.I saw a faceless person drop a pillow on the floor and run out of the room while some nurses ran inside the room. I tried to follow the faceless person outside but I heard Violet's voice calling my name.******I slowly opened my eyes to see Ryan crying, Violet calling my name repeatedly, and tapping on my face. I sat straight on my bed, carried Ryan in my arms, and stopped his crying."Are
