My head is pounding, and my whole body feels like it was run over by a truck. What the hell happened to me? I groaned.

"Are you sure she shifted?" someone said in a cautious tone.

"Yes, father. I saw it with my own eyes..."

I could hear voices around me as I groggily woke up. They were arguing, that much I can tell. When I opened my eyes, the voices stopped.
