Trixie is a 17 year old girl, typical teen, adopted out of foster care as a baby or so she thinks. She knew from a young age that she was adopted but never sought out to know more about her birth; family perfectly content with the regular middle class comfortable life they provided for her. Just weeks before her 18th birthday on a night out with friends she captures the Alphas attention at the big city's night club. Unaware that her and her friends had stumbled into the local werewolf's pack territory and their night club. Trixie will learn truths about herself and that she is also destined to be apart of the pack there and shift for the first time ever on her 18th birthday. Only she has no clue.

It was just another day of Summer break for me. I was serving today at the local diner, and it was slow for a Thursday afternoon. I was ready to go home, shower and go out with some of my friends. We had managed to get some fake IDs from one of the techy guys at our high school and we haven’t gotten to make use of them yet and our plans tonight were to try them on a local watering hole here before going to the city about 20 mins away and actually getting into some night clubs and bars. Lost in my thoughts about what tonight might hold and wiping down the tables in my section I felt a tap on my shoulder. Slightly startled I jump and look to see its just Sam. “Hey, you alright? I called your name a couple times.” She asked me. “Of course. Sorry, I was just hoping to get my section clean and side work done so I could get out of here kind of early tonight since it’s been so slow.”Sam is short for Samantha, She was just a bit older than me around 23 or so but she was already a server manager here, her family also owned it. She was sweet, like a big sister figure always watching and looking out for me over the last couple years since I started working here and giving sisterly advice. She was also very beautiful too. Tall for a woman about 5’9 with long wavy red hair and a pale completion and green eyes. She wouldn’t ever have trouble finding a date but preferred to remain single for some reason. “Okay, yeah I was just coming to tell you that I was cutting you for the night. Your section already looks great if you just want to roll about 25 silverware and load the dishwasher once for me; I’ll cover the rest of your side work so you can get out of here.” Sam just made my night. Smiling I run to the back and load the dish washer and get ready to roll those silverware and stop just a minute to send a text out in our group chat. Should be leaving the diner in 15 mins. Then head home to get ready for tonight. We still on?My group chat consists of just 4 of us all been friends since day 1 of freshman year: Jerica, Abby, Janet and myself. Its only 730pm so it was still early, and we had plenty of time still. Jumping in the shower now – JericaYou bet your sweet ass – Janet I’ll finish getting ready and come swoop everyone up - Abby Excitement filled me as I thought of all the fun we were going to have tonight! I finished rolling my silverware. Waved to Sam as she was refilling an older man’s coffee at the bar and took off out the side door. The diner was only a 10 min walk from my house, so I walked to and from work when scheduled and since I didn’t have my own car yet, it made the diner the easiest place to work even if it was only part time, I liked having my own bit of cash and not having to ask my parents for money to do everything all the time. I made it home about 8 pm and my parents were all cuddled up on the couch together under a blanket eating popcorn watching one of my mom’s favorite movies: Pride and Prejudice. Dad just peaked his head over the couch looking back. “where you off to in such a hurry?” raising just one eyebrow at me. “To shower dad; then Abby is going to come pick me up for a girl’s night out if that’s okay? We kind of had one planned for tonight and tomorrow?” I tell him looking down the stairs and giving him the best puppy dog eyes, I can manage. He pauses and looks at his phone for the time. My mom softly laughing knowing that I had my father wrapped around my finger and would get my way.“Tomorrow we all planned to sleep over at Abby’s house too!” I interjected so I would get a curfew for tomorrow night. If our IDs worked tonight, we had plan to go to a night club Jerica had found out about in the city and didn’t want to be worried about getting back here. My dad side eyed me and sighed. “Be home by midnight tonight. You can have your sleep over there but remember school is going to start back in about 3 weeks and you will need to work on getting on a school schedule at least a week ahead.” Smiling I yelled, “Thank you! Thank you!” I finish running upstairs to my bathroom and hop in and begin washing. My dad was right school would start in 3 weeks and I would go through my senior year with my 3 best friends and graduate and all that comes along with that. I’m not sure what comes after that but my dad was sure a planner and like his routine so I knew if I didn’t get myself on a schedule, he would put me on one in the coming weeks. I hoped out of the shower and scurried over to my room closing and locking the door to get ready. I throw my hair over towel drying my hair and looking in my closet to find a tight blue jean skirt that came about mid-thigh and a cute flowy blouse with spaghetti string straps with a strapless bra underneath. I figure brushed my hair and blew dried it some so my long blonde hair was wavy down to the middle of my back with my side part. I loved wearing my hair down and wavy; it made me feel like a mermaid or princess or something. I was doing some basic makeup and throwing on some lip gloss when I heard a small tap at my door. “Yes” I called. “Hey hun, mom fell asleep on me, so I just put her to bed and was going to lay down with her. I am not going to wait up tonight. I have work in the morning. I will be watching the doorbell in the morning, so you better be back on time. Good night I love you sweetie.” My dad whispered through the closed-door knowing mom was sleeping in the other room. “You knew she would do that.” I chuckle knowing my mom loved to watch movies but almost always fell asleep on dad watching them. “I will make sure I say I am home on the doorbell dad. Good night, love you.” I say softly back through the door. I heard him chuckle at my words and then his steps down the hall to their bedroom and the tv click on. Ding. My phone sounded off.In your driveway. All the lights are out so I didn’t want to honk. – AbbyI took one last look at myself in the full-length mirror in my room. The pink flowy blouse and the jean skirt hugged my curves in the right places and I knew I looked amazing with barely any make up and some wedges in my hands I went down stairs to met the girls in Abby’s car. I just knew this weekend was going to be great!Trevor POVThe call came just after breakfast. I stepped out onto the back deck of the pack house, letting the early autumn sun hit my face as I answered. Eric’s voice came through, calm and steady, but with a note of relief."Alpha, Thomas’s test results are back. Everything looks normal, physically. His vitals, reflexes, bloodwork—he’s healing well."I nodded, even though he couldn’t see me. "And the mental health eval?"Eric paused before continuing, "He’s showing clear signs of PTSD. Not surprising, considering everything. But the doctors think he’s stable enough to begin outpatient therapy."I exhaled slowly, tension easing from my shoulders. I had suspected as much. "Set up a therapist to start working with him here, at the pack house. He’ll need a calm environment, structure, familiarity.""Already in motion," Eric confirmed. "I’m with them now. We’re packing their things. Alice is helping. They’ll be ready to leave in twenty.""Good. Let me know when you're on the road. We’ll
Trixie POVI nodded without saying a word, my throat too tight with emotion to speak. My father—Thomas—stared at me as if trying to memorize every detail of my face, like he couldn’t believe I was really standing in front of him. His dark blonde hair was tousled, his expression raw and vulnerable. A lifetime missed, stolen by circumstances neither of us could control. He opened his mouth again, trying to form words, but none came. Instead, his eyes moved to Trevor, standing at my right side with quiet strength. My father studied him with an intensity that made my skin prickle. Then his gaze shifted again—past Trevor—and landed on Alice. "Alice," he whispered. Her sad smile was filled with relief and pain all at once. She stepped forward, and he reached for her, their hands grasping with trembling fingers, before she leaned in and hugged him gently. "You saved me," he murmured against her hair. "Thank you. Are you alright?" She nodded, pulling back slightly. "I will be. I was hurt too,
Trixie POVThe last couple of days had been surprisingly uneventful. Jake and Joe stuck to the same routine: drive Jerica and me to school, stick close to our classes, and drive us back home. They stayed alert but relaxed, their presence starting to blend into our normal school day. Joe, of course, continued to flirt with Abby at every opportunity. At lunch, Abby practically glowed every time Joe walked by. He’d sit near us, make a joke, wink at her, and she’d twirl her hair like she was in a cheesy romantic comedy. Janet, meanwhile, rolled her eyes so hard I was sure she was going to pull something."You'd think she never saw a guy before," Janet mumbled one day as Abby giggled at some ridiculous line Joe fed her about being her knight in shining armor. Jerica and I just exchanged knowing looks. It was harmless... and honestly, Joe looked happier lately. But today was Friday, and next week was fall break. Originally, we had big plans—bonfires, pumpkin patches, and maybe a movie marat
Trixie POVThe early morning light filtered through the trees as Jerica and I climbed into the back of the black SUV. Jake was already in the driver’s seat, his sunglasses on and jaw tense, while Joe lounged in the passenger seat with a devil-may-care smirk. Very upbeat considering his temper lately."Everyone ready for a riveting day of school security?" Joe asked, glancing over his shoulder. "As ready as I’ll ever be," I muttered. Jerica stifled a yawn. "I still can’t believe we have guards going to class with us. This is next-level overkill."Jake grunted. "Trevor’s orders. Not taking any chances." Joe chuckled. "Besides, we’re not just guards. We’re your charming, rugged, overly protective escorts." Jerica rolled her eyes. "More like body shadows."The drive was quiet after that, filled only with the low rumble of the engine and the occasional pop song from the radio. When we arrived at school, we filed out like some kind of strange entourage. Jake and Joe flanked us as we walked
The morning after the chaos was heavy with tension. The pack house still buzzed with activity, warriors stationed at every door and along the perimeter. The air practically vibrated with alertness. Everyone was waiting, watching—expecting something to happen.Trevor and I had barely slept. We had spent most of the night at the pack hospital, waiting for news on my dad. I couldn’t unsee the way he looked when Alice brought him in—his body limp and broken, blood staining nearly every inch of him. It was a miracle he was still alive. The doctors had worked tirelessly through the night, and finally, just before dawn, we got the news. My father had survived the surgery. He was stable, but they had placed him in a medically induced coma to allow his body to heal.Alice hadn’t left his side. She sat by the hospital bed, her skin still pale and bruised, her frame thinner than I remembered. But her eyes were sharper than ever, filled with fire and grit. The pack doctors had treated her injurie
Trixie POVEric and I were still catching our breath as we jogged out of the woods, paws shifting back to bare feet as we crossed the shifting barrier near the pack house. Laughter from our short run was still echoing in my chest, but it died instantly when we stepped into view of the front yard.Chaos.Trevor was standing on the front steps, blood on his hands, barking orders into his phone. Several of the house staff were rushing around frantically, and in the middle of the yard, slumped between two guards, was a man—his face swollen and bloodied beyond recognition. But something about the way Trevor was looking at him made my stomach turn cold.Alice was there, barely able to stand, supported by one of the older omegas. Her face was pale, lips cracked and bruised, and blood stained her clothes. My heart stopped. "Trixie!" Trevor spotted me and rushed over, his voice shaking with urgency. "It’s your father."My legs buckled but Eric caught me, steadying me with a strong hand. "What
