Did I really just create an actual hole… in the ground?

As I turned back to face the view of the broken field, my body froze as it became clear the earthquake wasn’t a figment of my imagination, but was instead the result of my anger.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, feeling overwhelmed by the days revelations.

3 weeks ago I was just a girl from Manchester, going to a human college and setting off the fire alarms to get out of classes.

Today, I stand in the middle of a field that I found in my dreams, with the, supposedly ruthless but I would argue infuriating was the more appropriate word, King as my mate. My mother was a fae and I was a princess to a Kingdom I thought my mother had made up as a bedtime story. Oh, and I was supposed to save that kingdom… with my mate… the King.
