Chapter 45

I clenched my teeth and closed the gate with a loud bang. Everyone stopped in their tracks upon hearing it and directly looked at me. However, I didn’t care. I just stared into a blank space with my fists in tight balls on either side of me.

“Sorry for that. She didn’t mean it,” Kalith apologized for me instead. “Please, go on.”

The parade continued on toward the palace hall. Others murmured, criticizing my behavior. Others were confused why acted that way. But I noticed that my sister did not even look back.
