Chapter 2 Satisfy You

Moo Tingxiao made it clear that he was emphasizing the word “cripple”, and his low voice was flirtatious.

The closer he got to her, the uneasier Mu Nuannuan felt, so she shifted her body to keep a distance. But after she thought about it for a while, she believed him. He could not have come into Moo Tingxiao’s mansion if he was not Moo Tingxiao’s cousin, she figured.

“He’s your cousin. Please, stop saying that.” Mu Nuannuan knew what it was like to be derided, hence she sympathized with Moo Tingxiao. His life had to be difficult, considering his circumstances, and the wealth of his family did not help, she thought.

Surprised by what the ugly woman said, Moo Tingxiao did a double-take on her.

She was wearing a pair of frumpy, black-framed glasses and a long cotton jacket. Her hair was a bird’s nest, and her bangs were so long that they almost covered her eyes. Not only that, the dark spots on her dull face looked particularly disgusting. Undoubtedly, the ugly woman was not his beautiful fiancée whom everyone was talking about, but who cared? No one in the Moo Family gave a damn if the woman he married was pretty or if someone had swapped the bride, so long as the woman could bear him a son.

An evil thought flashed through his mind. Pushing her onto the bed, Moo Tingxiao did not bother to hide his disdainful and dirty thoughts. “No one’s here. Don’t pretend anymore. I’ll do it out of kindness to satisfy you.”

Mu Nuannuan slapped him on the face as hard as she could. “Not everyone is as dirty-minded as you are. You better leave before your cousin arrives. I’ll treat it as if nothing ever happened.”

She tried to look calm and collected, but her quivering hand gave her away. While on her way to the mansion earlier, she had imagined Moo Tingxiao to look ugly as hell. However, things turned out to be surprising.

Moo Tingxiao’s face appeared dour, and his body exuded a bone-chilling coldness. “No woman has dared to hit me.”

Out of fear, she dropped her glasses. Her eyes were lustrous, while her flickering eyelashes announced her nervousness and fear.

Somehow, Moo Tingxiao became reluctant and softhearted. So, he got up, refastened the placket of his shirt, and shot Mu Nuannuan an icy glance. “Then you can wait for the cripple as long as you want.”

He walked out and closed the door behind him. Only then did Mu Nuannuan feel less nervous.

Outside, a bodyguard saw a slap mark on Moo Tingxiao’s face and was startled. “Young Master, your face…”

Moo Tingxiao reached for his face, his expression deadpan. “I hit my face on the door.”

The bodyguard wondered what kind of door could have left a handprint on his face, but he dared not ask. Passing a file to Moo Tingxiao, the bodyguard said, “This is Mrs. Moo’s personal file.”

Moo Tingxiao opened the file and saw a name at the top right corner: Mu Nuannuan. That ugly woman was frigid, yet her name was the opposite. It was weird. In Chinese, Nuannuan meant affectionate. However, Mu Nuannuan’s mother was even weirder; she loved her stepchildren like her own offsprings but was cruel-hearted toward her own daughter.

When he read further down the file, Moo Tingxiao frowned. “She’s retarded?”

The bodyguard nodded.

“Reinvestigate!” said Moo Tingxiao. His face was still deadpan. He could tell that the way Mu Nuannuan spoke was clear and that her thoughts were organized. More so, she had slapped him hard when he tried to violate her decency. Which retard would do that? Thinking of this, his face collapsed and he threw the file back to the bodyguard. “Don’t return if you don’t get the information I want!”
