Chapter 6 The Old Don

She was unconscious when he came to see her at night time. An IV tube was connected to her vein.

He took a great time in examining her features. Even after all the abuse she went through she managed to look so gorgeous. Her every feature was perfect.

She would be having a nice dinner if she would have been a bit compliant. He sighed and took out the small package from his pocket and started doing his work.

He swabbed the area of her skin with surgical spirits and then carefully injected the microchip. He cleaned the area and bandaged the wound.

He knew that she would not pay any attention to it, the pain in her abdomen would be too much for her to notice the pain of small needle.

"Rest well my angel." He murmured, gently stroking her cheeks.

After few minutes of staring at her he left her room.

She woke up in the morning to find a girl in a maid's uniform standing beside her bed. She blinked her eyes to get the grogginess away.

She groaned when she felt the sharp pain shooting in her lower abdomen. The maid who was looking at the opposite immediately rushed to her.

"Ma'am, don't move please or your wounds will open up." On hearing the maid's voice she stilled for a moment.

After few seconds when the dizziness and sleep wore off the excruciating pain in her abdomen and other body parts came back. It felt as if her whole body had been run over by a truck.

She laid awake for few minutes, her lips were pursed tightly to stop herself from crying out loud due to the pain and fear.

Soon the door creaked open to reveal the devil himself who was the main reason of her pain and fear. The one who loved to inflict pain on others. The temperature of the room dropped by few degrees due to his presence.

When her eyes met his, she shivered due to the intensity with which he was staring her.

The menacing aura was coming off him. Her breathing accelerated when she saw him covering the distance between them.

“Out!" His loud voice boomed in the room. The maid did not waste a second in running out of their room.

When he saw her struggling to breath and her face turning pale he sat beside her on the bed and gently stroked her wet cheeks. He knew that she was going to have a panic attack.

“Calm down Tulip. I'm not here to hurt you.” He spoke softly.

“We are only going to talk. Okay?” He chose his words carefully.

When he noticed that her breathing rate had started going back to normal, he continued.

“The nurse and a doctor will be here to help you change your dressing. You don't want me to get angry again. Right?”His voice had a hard edge to it.

When she nodded and he got the message that this time she will obey him, he started speaking again. “So cooperate with them. I will see you at night.” He cunningly whispered and left the room.

The rest of the day passed in a blur. The doctor came along with a nurse and did her check up.

She ate the food brought by maid. She knew that maids would complain if she won't cooperate.

She was asleep when Archer came to see her at night.

He sat beside her and kept staring at her intently. All he felt was peace and immense happiness on seeing her sleeping in his home.

He stroked her cheeks and held her small hand in his large one; and then kissed the back of it.

“We were so good together Tulip.” His voice was soft.

“But you had to fu** up everything and betray me. But no worries I'll fix up every single thing. I'll teach you a good lesson.” His green orbs hardened and his voice turned cold.

*-*-*-*-*

It was the time for dinner and Archer had ordered her to come to the dining hall.

She was escorted by a maid to the dining hall. Thankfully Archer was not present there.

Everything changes with time. There was a time when I used to love his presence. His presence used to bring happiness to me. But now it only brings pain... What an irony of life! She started recalling the events which took place yesterday. In no time the tears adorned her cheeks.

The fear that he put in her by writing his name on her flesh by a piece of glass. She shivered on remembering the sadistic gleam present in his cold eyes.

Where did I go wrong? What made him turn into a monster? She thought to herself, wiping away her tears.

Oh hearing the footsteps of someone she looked up from her seat to find Archer and another man, who looked exactly like Archer but older than him, walking inside the hall.

The hall was majestic and they were a bit far away from her but the intensity of their presence was felt by her from far away. It was that intimidating and horrifying, her big eyes widened with shock.

Archer and his dad looked up as they heard the soft gasp. Their senses were sharp.

"Ah there you are!" Archer exclaimed.

His dad had the same cold forest green eyes.

"Father wanted to meet with you." He continued, stepping towards her and engulfed her in a side hug.

He was careful of her wounds.

“Is she mute?" The old don asked his son. His voice was cold.

Archer's jaws clenched and he shot her a furious glance.

Just looking in his eyes had her opening her mouth.

“Hi s-sir. I'm Olivia.” She tried her best to keep her voice strong but it quivered a bit.

"Don Zander Mitchell. Nice to meet you Olivia.” His eyes were calculating. His expressions stern, his voice orotund.

She could not find it in herself to answer that intimidating man so she only nodded back. Archer seemed pleased by her.

“Come on. Sit down. You must be hungry." He pulled out a chair for her. She did not waste a single second in obeying his command.

The servants served the food and the dinner went by without any drama.

After about thirty minutes, the old don got up to leave the hall. Archer wished him good night but Olivia did not. But the pain in her waist, which increased by the pressure Archer’s hand applied, was enough for her to open her mouth.

After that she was asked by Archer to go back to her room. And she was the more than happy to oblige.

She just wanted to get away from two intimidating men.

Two mafia

men. The monsters who looked like humans--the beautiful humans.

After returning to the room, she recalled all the incidents which took place since she has met him.

The thought which bothered her the most was that why he was being so cruel to her. What happened which made him turn into monster? These thoughts did not let her to sleep so she got off her bed.

At about eleven pm Archer opened the door of her room only to find her wide awake.

She was standing near the window, her long golden tresses moving due to the flow of air coming from outside. Her pale skin glowing under the lights. She looked so ethereal in the white gown.

His lips turned upwards against their own accord seeing her like this.

Beautiful and all mine.

He made his way to her, his footsteps quiet.

As he snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her to into him, such that her back was pressed to her hard broad chest, with an unyielding strength, a soft gasp escaped her cherry colored plump lips.

She placed her soft hands on his rough ones, as her calm breathing increased. His touch gave her a protracted cardiac arrhythmia.

She tried to turn to him but it was useless to try to get out of his hold which was quite strong. He placed his chin on the crook between her neck and shoulder, her cheeks warming up due to their close proximity.

She did not try to push him away. She knew that it would only make him angry. So she stood there quietly waiting for his next move.

"We would have been so fu***** happy if you hadn't betrayed me." He growled darkly.

"I did not betray you Archer." She whispered.

"You did. You ran away with that coward!" His eyes were turning dark.
