ACE
I stared dumbly at Emily, as she spoke about her holiday in Australia. I was so tired of listening to it already. She was probably waiting for me to get excited, but I was too tired for that. She didn't even allow me to focus on my work, all day long. She had been around since ten in the morning, and wasn't willing to leave yet, although it was already eight. I was really frustrated already.
When it was five, I wanted to ask her to leave, but she seemed to be so amazed, and I didn't want her lonely life to haunt her. I always loved it when I saw her happy. It always made her horrific past to not overshadow her. It always made me glad as well.
Besides the fact that Emily was talking too much, I was also stressed out for some reason. After my fight with Mia, I couldn't get myself. I couldn't express how well I was frustrated, and how well I regretted my reaction.
I just didn't understand why I cou
ACE"And that's the end of today's meeting." One of my workers, Mr Daniel, stated. Finally!I sighed, and dismissed everyone immediately. I was already tired of the meeting. After a while of listening to what he was saying, I completely zoned off. I was lost for some reason. "Mr Norman." Mr Daniel called, as he sauntered to me. "How was my presentation? Do you think it's going to yield a great result?" He asked. I stared at him blankly. "What presentation?" I asked confusingly. "Sir...the one I just finished." He stated. I chuckled perplexingly. "Oh. That one. I'll get back to you soon.""Ok." He added, as he walked out of meeting room. To be sincere, I wasn't listening at all. I didn't even have a hint of all he stated. All I could tell was, I saw him speaking. My mind wasn't even connected to anything he men
I walked gently in the wealthy estate, and examined the houses. They were as well big like Ace's. It didn't seem like people were actually living there. It was just so quiet. I had decided to walk to Ace's office. He didn't know about it, and that was good for me. I was already tired of taking the car all the time. I liked it, but I needed to be careful not to gain some weight. As I trekked, Emily words kept hitting me. I was honestly tired of it. Her threats were slowly killing my mind. I wanted to tell Ace about it, but I wasn't sure he'd believe me. When I tried to state it to him before, he thought I was joking. I just didn't have a way to convince him. I sighed, and finally turned to the last street. Ace's street. It was time to stay in there, and wait for him to get back from work. But at least, waiting for him, was far better than being stucked in that prison. I finally spotted someone i
I walked gently in the corridor, and knocked at the door of Ace's study room. No one answered, so I tried knocking again, but still, it was to no avail. That was quite surprising. I had gone to his gym firstly, and I didn't see him there, so I came to his study room, as well, and he wasn't still there. I wondered where he was. I hadn't seen him all afternoon. He told me he'd be back, while we were chatting in the room, but he didn't come back. He was probably at his office, but I didn't think so. If he had gone there, he would have stated it to me.I held the door knob, and finally decided to open it. I didn't know if he'd like that, but I could at least give it a trial.I pecked my head in firstly, and tried scrutinizing the place carefully, but still, he wasn't in there. I began to be scared a little. Where could he be? Those were the only places he always was. What was going on?
I drove into Emily's huge compound, and hurried to her door. A sudden fear grew within me. I couldn't think of any reason she had to call me so late in the night. Few years back, she called me at the same time, and something terrific happened that day. Her parents, who never had her time, hired a person to stay with her. On getting there I heard noises from inside her house. And when I got in, the hired person tried to rape her. She also had that trauma till forever.. I only hoped it was something not similar to that, in any way. I didn't know how I was going to handle such situation. I stepped into the place, with so much alacrity, and forcefully shut it, as soon as I was in.I steered my neck to scrutinize the place thoroughly, and then, I found Emily by her kitchen's counter, sipping from her cup of whatever she was drinking. She looked so terrible, and worried. So
MIAI wandered in the living room, still waiting patiently for Ace to return. He didn't come home the night before, and he made me worried sick. To worsen it, his number wasn't going, and absolutely no one, knew about his whereabouts. I thought of calling his mom, but I knew she'd fret, if she heard that he was missing. But still, what if he was there?I finally decided to call her, but I didn't ask if Ace was with her. I wanted her to say something about it first. I waited for her to ask me if Ace was doing well, and I had to lie. I told her he was sleeping cause he got home really late. I felt really bad for having to lie to her. I didn't even know where he was, speaking of sleeping in the house. What could I do? I was still terribly annoyed at him, but I needed to find him as soon as possible. I didn't know if it was important to file a missing report, but I planned to do that, if he wasn't hom
MIAI gently sat on the bed, and silently slipped on my slippers. I walked to the closet, and changed from my night gown to a more comfortable cloth. I just couldn't go out in those.I changed my clothes in a hurry, and packed my hair as well, as I tiptoed to the door.It was 10:00pm already. I managed to get Ace to sleep early, so I could still get to Drake's place with Jenny. I also asked Jenny to wait for the night. She didn't want to do it, but I forced her too. She thought we weren't doing the right thing, but I sincerely thought it was important. He needed to be thought some things.I slowly opened the door, and shut it gently too. If Ace knew about where we were going, he'd definitely not allow us to leave the mansion, especially not at night. I really hoped he wasn't going to be awake, in the interval I'd be gone. I managed to get to the living room, then I rushed
I still stared into Drake's eyes, as we were hardly few inches away from each other. I was so nervous and helpless. I knew, absolutely, nothing to do. I couldn't push his hard body. He could only end up hitting me, or doing something so painful. But also, I couldn't let him sleep with me like that. Even Ace hadn't done that, and had never forced me to, although we both slept in the same room, and in the same bed. I needed to do something badly, but how could I?"Drake Please." I tried pleading. "Don't do this to me. I beg of you. It won't do any good to us both. Please."He scoffed. "I told you it's too late. I've been madly craving for you, for a really long time.""But why?" I retorted, still in between tears. He moved backwards, and stood from the bed. "Come to think of it." He said, as he began to wander around the room. "I dated you for a year and a half, only for me to get you, but I didn
"That's the truth Mia." He continued, still holding my arms in his grip. "I've really tried to hide my feelings, but it keeps on jerking into my heart and mind."I stared at him blankly. I wanted to move closer to him, and embrace him tightly. I really felt like thanking him for finally confessing his feelings, but, I didn't think it was the right time to do such, cause his facial expression had a really crazy mixed feeling. He looked angry, sad, and jealous.I didn't mention a thing as well. Although I was really excited, I was equally nervous and hesitant. I wasn't sure of how to react at all. I knew he was being genuine, but in a way, I had some crazy doubts. The fact that he always insulted me, really made me feel discouraged about the whole thing. I didn't want to get hurt whenever he ended up sputtering some mean words in my face, and I also never wanted to be affected by love any longer.&
