"Marcus! I'm going!" I shouted while walking down the stairs.
Marcus didn't wake me up this morning and I presumed he is busy doing stuffs that my parents ordered him.
"Marcus!" I yelled again and this time he showed off carrying his black suitcase.
I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest still focusing my sight on him who was walking near me. With his blue polo and knee length pants, I bet he will be going out of town.
"Where are you going?" I confusedly asked.
He smiled at me and patted my head. "Business trip," he thriftyly said.
I shrugged my shoulders and offered him to have a seat for a while. I want to have at least a minute with him before he will go on his business trip. I could skip my class for this morning to spend my time with him because I know it will take him weeks before coming back.
Instead of accepting the seat, he took a glance at his wrist watch and shook his head at me. "You will be late for school," he said.
"I will skip my class today," too late for me to take back my words because he shot me a glare.
"Don't you dare! Stand up 'cause I'll send you off to school," he answered before taking his way out.
I heaved a sigh of surrender knowing that I can't make him stay for a while. Marcus will always be Marcus. What Marcus orders must be followed.
I stamped my feet out the house with pouty lips and walked straight to the opened car door. I plopped myself on the seat and crossed my arms while taking my view on the window near me. I really can't please him in times like this. He always wanted me to stay in school, to be the best school body president and remain with the highest General Weighted Average. Being absent in class for a day won't make my grade fall and ruin my reputation. My family is really greedy on time.
"Hey, are you mad?" Marcus voiced out.
I didn't take a glance of him and closed my eyes instead. I don't want to talk to him at this moment. I am mad at him. I immediately opened my eyes when I felt that we are not moving anymore, I am sure that we haven't reached the school yet because we travelled just a minute. I shifted my sight on him who is now staring seriously at me.
"Amber, you know I can't stay for long with you because you have your class. You can't skip a day just for a chitchat. And besides, my flight is at 9 A.M," he explained.
I get his point that he is in a hurry and I can't blame a time conscious man like him. I slowly nodded and formed my lips into curve making him sigh in relief.
"Okay, until when is your business trip?" I asked.
He started the engine again and drove off the car. "Just a week," he answered, still facing the road.
We remained in our conversation in the car and promised me a present when he came back. The business trip he was saying was actually meeting my parents in Canada. I don't know the reason for their sudden meeting but I am hoping that it was not all about me again.
Even though I barely talked to them, it seems like they are always watching me. They never failed to send me gifts on my birthday, Christmas and every special occasions that I must celebrate. I actually don't need luxurious presents, all I want is their presence and attention that Marcus is giving on behalf of them.
"Take care always, Amber. Don't forget to call me, okay?" he said as soon as we arrived at my school.
I quickly stretched myself from the seat and gave him a peck on his cheek. "I will and please send my regards to mom and dad," I replied while taking my steps off his car. He nodded at me before I pushed the door close.
Soon after entering the campus, I noticed some students in groups. Others were gathering on a chair with their phones while some were murmuring with each other while taking a glance at me. Until I reached the hallway, students were doing the same. They are acting so strange for this normal day. Usually, students are in circles when there is a contest and their votes online are needed and I don't remember having one this day.
I walked straight on the path I was taking and a creased forehead formed from me when Celestine Anderson was shooting me a deadly stares. What is her problem again? She really loves making trouble. Instead of paying a bit of my attention to her, I chose to detour my view on the other side. This Queen bee might be psychotic.
I was directly taken aback when a palm hardly landed on my face. I slowly caressed my cheek and moved myself to their position giving them a fake smile. Gosh! I can feel the sting causing that sudden slap on me.
"You slut! Stop flirting with my boyfriend!" she bellowed. I can feel the tension around us and her anger through her clenched fist.
I scrunched my brow and crossed my arms with a sight directly to Celestine. "What are you saying?" I confusedly answered causing her to roll her eyes in irritation.
Claire, who was standing beside her, was about to open her mouth but chose to close it when Lily appeared in our sight. She scanned the girls quickly and carefully dragged me afterwards.
My confusion grew more when I heard her releasing curses while we were walking. I don't know where we are heading to because she dragged me in the opposite direction of my room.
I held her hand tight and stopped her the moment we passed on the students standing by.
"What's the matter, Lily?" I inquired.
She lightly pushed me on the wall and placed her hands over my shoulders. She looked at me so confused but at the same time worried. My mind is drowning with unanswered questions since the minute I stepped my foot in the gate of the school. But doesn't have a single hint of what exactly is happening.
"What happened?" she croaked out causing my brows to furrow.
"What, what happened?" I answered almost stammering. I couldn't understand why she is asking me when I must be the one who will ask her.
"Omaygosh! You don't know?" she exclaimed with a face palm. "Jordan went to your room angrily looking for the guy who kissed you!" my eyes widened in shock on Lily's confession. Shit! How did they know about the kiss?
I was about to ask her the full details but too late for my reflexes to respond. She fished her phone in her pocket and scrolled for something. She gave me her phone and I was surprised when I saw the video happened yesterday in the hallway. The moment when Blake's lips kissed mine.
My whole body was shaking after I watched it. A conclusion formed into my mind for that strange gathering and murmurs of the students. This is crazy!
I took a few deep breaths and exaggeratedly fan myself using my hands trying to calm before I could speak up. "Lily, this is crazy! Where's Jordan?" I said while massaging my temples.
Even Lily doesn't know what to react and to say. This is a lot of explaining to do. Good thing Marcus is not around to meddle with this mess. I am sure this would ruin the reputation I was building for years.
The school body president with the highest GWA has a scandal with the new student of the school. Oh! What a nice issue for the day! This is so frustrating!
Lily instantly moved herself and gave me a comforting embrace. She lightly patted my back as if telling me it's okay. "Relax, Amber. I will listen to your rants later, okay? Just help me find Jordan for now," she said between our hugs.
I moved myself away from her a little and nodded as a response for what she said to me. I mouthed her a thank you and just gave me an assuring smile. What did I do to my past life to deserve a friend like her? I must be thankful then.
As soon as we both felt relaxed, she immediately held my hand and dragged me away from the place we were standing. She scanned every area we are in, hoping to find Jordan so I did the same.
Minutes have passed and our feet brought us near the cafeteria where students are in circles full of shouts, cheers and oohs. I looked at Lily who was looking at the student's direction before she could meet my eyes. As if on a cue, we ran towards the gathered people.
"Go back to your rooms or else you will end up all in my office!" I shouted causing them to dissolve, taking their own different paths.
When they are all gone, Jordan with a stain of blood on his face welcomed us together with the blue-eyed gangster who has flowing blood on his nose. I immediately ran and kneeled before Jordan wiping his blood with my towel.
"Oh, how sweet, baby," my hatred suddenly formed when I heard his voice. I shifted my direction to him and slapped his face once again.
I grabbed Jordan's hand while Lily was assisting us. We must get ourselves out of here before I could punch that man with blue eyes. But before we could make our steps, he released a mocking laugh.
"By the way, your lips taste good, baby!" he yelled. I rolled my eyes even though he can't see it.
Jordan was about to run over him again but we stopped him and gave a pleading look. I don't want him to get troubled again.
After their fistfight, we decided to bring him here to our house since it is the nearest place for us to go. Though he insisted that he is fine and we must attend our class, we still followed what I wanted. My conscience would not be at ease if I can't assure that he is totally fine and treated."Ouch!" Jordan groaned as I put a cold compress on his bruise.I placed the ice bag on the center table before apologising to him. He didn't respond, instead, his lips formed into a thin line.Until now, he still has the urge of killing Blake after he saw the video that I wasn't expecting to spread. I shifted my view on him who was looking directly into my eyes. I can't read his emotion and what exactly he is thinking right now but one thing is for sure, he didn't like what he saw.Despite our current situation, I still feel like the universe is on me knowing Marcus is no
I felt relieved after the long explanation yesterday. Maybe I should ship Lily and Marcus as soon as possible so that she could also defend and cover me to him. My ever-loyal friend is always willing to support all of me.And because we ditch our classes last day, I decided to enter the school one hour before our normal class schedule. In case I missed something,
The Annual Masquerade Ball is one of the most awaited parties of the school where they feel the excitement of meeting their lovers hiding in a mask. Others were up into the suspense it brought to their first and last dance. They must be so excited about this that's why we have to work hard and meet their expectations. As soon as my class ended, I went straight to my office. I called a meeting for us to plan for the upcoming Masquerade Ball and come up to different suggestions. The good thing about my officers is their creativity and support. After the planning, they went to the Gymnasium to check the area while here I am still arranging the piled papers and reports to be done."Hey, aren't you gonna go home yet?" Lily asked the second she gets into here with Jordan.I shook my head before meeting her sight. "No, I still have to go to the Gymnasium," I replied, she nodded in un
My good holy Lord, I have lots of dreams in life. I want to travel around the world, manage our company and have a happy family. I don't want to die young! But if this would be my last time breathing in this universe, I hope I would be reincarnated and meet my friends in my second life. How ironic it is to die just because of a scissor and a moron above pressuring me to hand it to him.I was stiffened in my position after my back hit onto something hard. I don't know if I am now paralysed or dead but one thing's for sure, I can feel my heart beating so fast.My heart continues pounding with a heavy breath inside me, I don't know if this is the sign of dying but I heard someone clearing a throat near me."Ms. President, wake up," a familiar baritone voice whispered in my ear, giving me goosebumps.Am I alive? No, I am alive! I am certainly alive!
"Yes Amber, I'm with your parents right at this moment," Marcus said on the next line.He called me just a few minutes after I arrived here at school. It was literally hard for me to wake up without someone shouting in my room when it's getting late. No one would remind me to eat first before going to school and chitchat me nonsense stuff until we both get tired talking. I miss him already. No Marcus for a day is dreary and hard for me."When will you come back? I miss you already. No Marcus with me eating breakfast, lunch or dinner is such an empty lonely day," I pouted."Oh, how sweet of you Amber. Maybe no more than a week, I'll be back.""That's great! I will wait for your comeback then. Please send my regards also to my parents," I said with a half smile.Heading my way in the cafeteria, I saw Blake together with the self-entitled Queen bee and
"Hello?! Is anybody here? Can someone hear me?!" I yelled so many times near the door. Hoping for a miracle to happen. I searched for things which could at least help me escape here but I only saw scissors. I forced myself to insert it on the locked door but accidentally slipped causing my hand to have a little cut. When I failed, I chose to sit on the floor. What if someone hasn't heard me. All the students on the campus were already resting themselves comfortably on their home. And all I can do is to wait here until tomorrow morning. I will sleep here all alone with flying insects or rats running nearby. Gosh! I'm getting paranoid. I stood up and kicked the door making my feet hurt. I don't know what I should be concerned about first. Either my growling stomach, my wound or how to escape here. I shouted once again as loud as I could. I don't care if my veins would be cut off or my voice would turn hoarse. My desire to escape here prevails. But… I see no hopes here.Maybe I shoul
I stared at Kuya Jon's phone for a minute. I can't memorise any of their numbers. Even mom, dad or Jordan's contact. I made a facepalm and simultaneously snapped my fingers on the air. Think Amber! Think!"Is there a problem, Ms. Ferrer?" Kuya Jon asked in curiosity.
The next day, I asked Lily to have lunch with me. I can't eat well in dining alone, it feels boring and empty. For the past few days at home, I ate only a few and sometimes asked our housemaids to eat with me at the table. With much presence around me while eating is better."Amber!" Lily greeted as soon as she arrived here in the cafeteria. She planted a kiss on my cheek before putting down her books and bag on the table."I missed you, Lily!" I exclaimed, grabbing her hand to sit beside me.She groaned a little when her waist bumped on the table. I smiled sheepishly and gave her a peace sign. She rolled her eyes then hugged me tight."It's been a year or a decade since we last met," we laughed when she said those words in sarcasm. She pulled herself away from me. "Do you have colds?" she asked, scanning me up and down before touching my forehead. Y
