Was that all you got boy?
......
A fuming angry Craig dragged me along the hallway through different passages taking me deeper in the underground. I stumbled a couple of times but it didn't make him stop even just a single step. I didn't dare fight back. I just couldn't make the effort. I was still in shock with what I did: killing Marshall, stabbing him to death. Even my hands were still shaking from the horrid memory.
I am truly a monster.
The image of the limped body of Marshall kept creeping through my brain. One of the nightmares that would be forever etched in the crevices of my subconscious. But I couldn't fathom one thing though, I didn't feel anything about killing him, Marshall. It was as if...as if I almost enjoyed it. I am actually happy that I killed him. And it was torturing me to insanity.
Along the way, Craig took out something from his pocket, a black flip phone. He dialed numbers and then put it in his ears. "It's Red Fox, the bitch killed Marshall! Yes got it...no...okay...The black room it is...bye." He hanged up, pocketed the phone and continued dragging me.
"Inside bitch!" he shouted as he pushed me inside a dark room. He didn't wait for me to react. He closed the door as soon as I fell face first on the concrete.
I sat up and leaned on the nearest wall my hand could reach. The room was too dark, not a single light penetrated inside. I couldn't see a thing, not even my hands when I held them up on my face. It was also too quiet that ringing sound tormented my ears.
The smell of urine and human wastes circled the room, air seems to be scarce too. I forced myself not to gag and held my breath inside my chest until I could no more. I didn't even bother to cover my nose. I welcomed the smell like they were fresh flowers on the first day of spring.
Then I tried closing my eyes but open them as soon as flashes of dead bodies greeted me along with the addition of Marshall's. I cried for everything I did and pounded my hands on an invisible wall. I hated myself, of what I become. I didn't know that I was signing myself to hell. If only I could go back to that bloody club, I would have. But sadly it wasn't a movie or a game it was real life and I fucked up. I fucked my life!
I didn't know for how much long I've stayed there, it felt like an eternity. It was gruelling hours before the door opened. Two men entered the room, one of them held a blinding light to my face. I couldn't make out their features. The other man took the light away. He grabbed my arm compelling me to stand. He walked me to a corner where a rusted metal chair was positioned. At its foot were blackened debris that I suspected to be the source of the fowl odor. The sight of the chair made my skin crawl; I struggled away from the man. He whistled to beckon for his comrade and straightaway they restrained me.
"No. No!" I managed to stammer. "Get the fuck away from me!" I kicked through the air. The two men were too strong for me to handle. But I didn't back down I continued clawing for my escape.
The two managed to sit me down. They bounded my arms and legs to the chair.
"Goddamit! You bastard! What are you going to do to me? Are ---" I was silenced with a muzzle. "Hmm..mmm..." only inaudible words came out from my mouth .
Stop it! Don't! Just dont fight! Stop it for Pete's sake! I begged for my brain to stop and calm down. All the struggling was no use at all! I have no way of escaping my fate. I needed to accept that. But stubbornness run through my blood and my body wouldn't listen to anything I tell. It moved on its own free will. I butted my head to the man in front of me. The loud cracking sound hyped my rebelliousness.
Blood dropped from his nose to my eyebrow.
"You fucking bitch!" straight lines of curses were spurted to me. "You'll going to pay for this!"
A fist connected to my jaw. My neck bent to the side from the impact but I didn't flinch. I didn't feel anything. I smiled my sweetest smile to the man. "Hmmm...mmm."
"Play it cool whore, you won't be able to smile after am done with you. If it was for me, I got a different way of punishing you." The man said laughing as another blow hit me on my right cheek.
He renived the muzzle from my mouth. I spat blood in his face causing him to kick my chair and for me to stumble on the floor, banging my head hard. I laughed sarcastically as pain trickled through my body. "Was that all you got boy?" I shouted to the man, taunting him more. "You hit like a girl little boy!"
A foot weighed in my stomach. I grunted from the pain. I was getting inside the man's head. "You're just a plaything...you bitch!" He knelt down, fixed my chair. He smiled, his hands wrapped around my neck strangling me. He lifted my body along with the chair adding strain to my neck. I couldn't breathe. I started to struggle. I needed air. Now! My brain screamed. I kicked aimlessly at the air. I was losing it, black splotches were appearing around.
"Stop it! You'll kill her, Dame said not to. Restrain yourself man..." said a man's voice. It was the man holding the light. "Now let me," he said again.
Consequently, my body was put down. "Hold this," he ordered. The two switched places.
The light illuminated the man's face. "Nick?" I questioned looking at the man standing before me.
"Yes," he answered nonchalantly. The corner of his left eye twitched but immediately went away. "Now I am going to punish you of your misdoings."
"Nick? Nick what is going on. Tell --" he put back the muzzle on my mouth Then he walked to the other corner and returned with a small plastic basin. He place it down the side of my foot. He took off my shoes before putting my feet in the water. I couldn't move.
"What are you doing?" I asked inside my head. I was scared, I couldn't keep up the farce. Tears flew down the side of my cheeks. Nick ignored me. He hold something in his hands; a headphone of some kind. He looked devoid of emotion as he put it over my head.
"Now!" he shouted to the other man.
No! Oh my god, no! Nick stop it! "Hmm...mmm!" He refused to stop. With a count of three electricity flew through me, from my head down to my toes. My eyes closed on their own.
Pain. Too much pain. So much pain. No!
It was like million of fire ants crawled through my body, slowly biting me off to my death. Just kill me! oh God! I couldn't take the pain anymore. It felt like my heart would just burst at any second.
Then it stopped.
I tried catching my breath and pried my eyes open slowly but then..." Again!" shouted Nick. His blank stare never leaving my face.
The horror was once again repeated. This time with much higher voltage. My body shook uncontrollably. Tears continued to flow at the corner of my eyes. And spit run down my mouth.
It stopped again, but before I could regain some strength, the electricity travelled through my body once more. I willed for them to just kill me and get it over with. Everything seemed to stop but not the electrocution. Time seemed to stretch for a lifetime. The process was repeated for several times, until they got tired and left me alone still tied up on the chair. I was too exhausted to complain for anything. I thought it would never stop. I was so happy it did.
Between the excruciating process, I found out the reason for the urine smell in the room. I peed more than four times in my pants. No more ounce of strength left, I willed myself to sleep. Dead bodies followed me through my dream, turning them to nightmares. The girls I killed and Marshall chased me into an endless race, I kept running and running without the seem of an end.
"Ahh!" I shouted awake as frigid water slapped my face. I winced in pain and slowly opened my eyes to the image of my torturer. Nick stood before me. He started untying my hands, then my feet. I stumbled to him, not able to carry my own weight. He sat me on the floor supporting half of my body. Something wet touched my lips.
"Drink. Slowly," he said. I drank and then coughed it out as soon as it entered my throat. "I said slowly!" Nick hissed at me. His expression was troubled.
"Pain." I croaked. "Pain everywhere."
"Ssshh it'll pass...it'll pass." He crooned. A cold needle was injected in my arm. Soft dull pinch pain entered my body. The pain subsided and I felt like floating on the clouds. "You stupid kid, I told you not to start something you would just regret. I'm so sorry, so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you," he said whispering in my ear before sleep took me again, to a place of hidden memories.
A young man with blonde hair and pretty green eyes sat in front of me. He was waiting for something, waiting for me. I need to answer his question, but it was so hard that I was taking my time to answer him. I looked at him as he finished his drink in a hurried gulp. Do I really have to answer his question?
"So are you willing to do it?" he asked me again, eager for me to bid at his request. His sour breath hitting my nose.
Will I? What are my chances of surviving? Would I take it, I always do for the sake of the thrill but would it be worth it? But that urge to try something dangerous was overwhelming. I contemplated hard in my head and sighed. I knew soon I would regret it.
"Do you think I can do it?"
"No." he answered plainly and honestly.
"Okay I'll do it." I said standing up and leaving him without another glance.
They often ask if I'm trying to kill myself. Maybe I do. Maybe that was it. Maybe that was the reason why I signed my sould to the devil.
Yes, you just got promoted in hell......."Ring-a-ring-a-roses,A pocket full of posies;Ashes! Ashes! We all fall down.......Ring a ring a Rosie,A bottle full of posie,All the girls in our town,Ring for little Jodie."I was awaken by a voice of a singing little girl. I pried my eyes open and saw two little brown gems looking at me with such amusement.I smiled at her and she smiled back in return. What is she doing here? She must be only a hallucination, how could there be a little angel in the hell kind of place. Maybe, I was about to die and she was to take me with her? But that would be insane. If there were such thing as heaven and hell, m
Do you know how lucky you are?......When facing eminent danger, your best option is to run, run the fastest your legs could allow you.Unfortunately, I didn't have that advantage on my side. In my situation every corner you look leads only to death. There was no other way around it but straight forward and my only choice was to fight or I die pitifully.I gulpped, the screen was slowing down: the letters were forming one by one. Oh god please let it be a good one. Just this one make luck be on my side! Then it stopped.Beads of cold sweat trickled down my back. My hands wouldn't stay dry even if I kept rubbing them on the sides of my shorts. The feet that belongs to me couldn't seem to carry my weight, my stance was getting off. I tried to steady myself by holding on the rails of the arena but my emotions were too drag
Same with you......."Jodi, wake up baby. Come on we have to go now." It was my mom's voice. Was it really her? But I couldn't be wrong! It was her voice. What was she doing? She cannot be here! Go away!"Mommy? Why are you here?" I asked her through my still closed eyes. "It's not safe here mommy you need to go away!""I come here to get you baby. Come on wake up now. We have to go now Jodi." My mom's voice pleaded with me. She didn't sound afraid as if she was so sure to get me out. But I was afraid. I couldn't move even my eyes won't crack open."I can't mom, they're gonna kill you. Please get out of here," I said to her in a trembling voice. Tears flowing down my face. Her voice grew silent and I became anxious that the monsters might have gotten to her. "MOM!" I shouted to the top of my lungs. "Mommy where are you?"
I am not a shadow of your past. ......The wailing sound ringing on my ears was telling to just give up, to stop fighting. The woman was taking her time dragging me by my two feet to the center of the arena. I was not giving her any fight, it was useless after all and a waste of time. I felt numb of all humanly emotions, pain was the only thing inside me.I wanted to cry desperately but there were no tears to spare. How it could have been that way, it was far from how I thought it would be. I was supposed to win from her, she had a shitty weapon! Yet she was the one reigning on me. I was helpless and for the first time, I wanted to give up, to die, because suddenly everything was too much and there was no solution in sight. I had lost all the hope left within my being.Iwelcomed the darkness that was slowly taking m
I'll get you out of here......Knowing nothing about the whole truth doesn't mean I don't know anything. I knew they were keeping secret from me. But silence is so much better than telling series of lies. Sometimes being in the shadow rather than burning in the sun is more acceptable. One way or another the truth will come out. All I need to do was to be patient. But I was born stubborn needing to ask all the questions in the world."What if everything went wrong? What would happen to me? Am I digging a grave for myself?" I asked the salesman. He only smiled patting my shoulder. It was the first time they sent me the same man. It hasn't been a month since my last talk with him and there he was. I preferred him over the others anyway. The Salesman never sweet talked me about the thing they wanted me to do, he always had hi
That's a dangerous game you're playing there Red.......Promises left undone were promises meant to hurt you."I promise, I'll do anything to get you out of here," Nick whispered as he leaned once more to take my lips in his. "Believe me please, you have to Jodi." I smiled through our tangled lips. His words were full of conviction that I didn't know for sure where he was getting it. He wanted to do something unthinkable just because of his testosterone imbalance. I might say it was absurd but I was starting to believe him. There was a tiny sliver of light inside me that was making me gamble all my trust on him.I didn't know what the future holds but there was one thing I was certain in that exact moment, that Nick would be on my side and I longed for him to be on my side.My body quivered at his every touch at his every caress
Tired, but she'll survive yet another day.......People often obsess with things they can't have that they don't stop for a second to think if they truly need it. Sometimes not getting what we want may result in wonderful stroke of luck."No!" I jolted backward over the side of the arena as the bullet barrelled out from the gun in my shaky hands. It seemed that getting what you want wasn't as exciting as it used to be when you were just wishing to get it.I was lucky enough to win myself a 45 caliber pistol. Though it wasn't a reason for celebration at all, I wouldn't jump for joy, the damn thing didn't come with a stupid manual. The television didn't help at all for making it look so easy.It wasn't easy at all! Firing a gun never stops by just pulling its trigger. There were more to it that one should
The Sergeant wants to see her.......I stopped running, it was too hot for extracurricular activities anyway. I sat on the green grass tilting my body so I could look directly on the shining yellow sun. The rays was too bright that it was slowly blinding my eyesight but I refused to close my eyes. It was a battle between the two of us; the king and the human. However after a few minutes my eyes started to hurt thus I averted them in defeat. I bent down connecting my two hands with each of my knees, I burry my head between my legs and closed my eyes, red covered my eyelids. It was the same color of my curly hair.I inhaled deeply. The wind blew hitting my sweat covered body making me shudder. I hated the morning runs, I could take that time for extra sleep but the salesman was a Nazi about it. What was the use of running anyway? I couldn't even remember th
