CHAPTER 6
It’s been a few hours since I left Ethan’s house. I still can’t believe I agreed to fix our relationship. I don’t even know how that’s going to happen. I don’t have a single idea as to how I am going to do that. I am watching tv in the living room when Khloe walks in with her hands filled with shopping bags.
“How was your day at the mall,” I say to her once she drops all her stuff down.“It was fun, and I got a few things for you. I know you are going to love them” Khloe says smiling while she goes through the bags and brings out a few shirts that I instantly fall in love with“They are nice, thank you,” I say taking them from her hands. It feels like it was yesterday I was left to rot at that unknown place. Khloe was able to save me that day. I can’t believe Ethan left me there. I know he was angry, but that is not enough reason for him to leave me there. I should not be surprised anyways because it’s Ethan I am talking about, someone who hates me more than anything in this world. He hurt me a little that night, nothing serious, but I still feel little pains in my arms when I move them. His grip was really tight that night.I am on my way to class this beautiful afternoon. I can't believe good food was used to bribe me to come for this event. The food at the event was not bad, but right now, that is not the problem. I am starting to feel sleepy due to how bored I am. It's a dinner ball, the person my brother wants to sign a deal with is hosting it. A few weeks have passed since that beautiful encounter between Ethan and me. I felt so shy to face him again after that day, but the next day in school, Ethan acted like nothing happened. We have become closer than ever; we do a lot of things together that I never saw us doing. We go to class together, study together and even go for lunch together like we are right now. Ethan and I are at a nice restaurant after a long day of lectures.“I hope you have not forgotten about my game on Saturday,” Ethan says after he takes a bite of his chicken.“You have been talking about it for the past two weeks. I am in the waiting room at the hospital while the doctors check on Ethan. My hands have not stopped shaking since I got here. I know this is not the first time Ethan has been in this situation, but I feel far more nervous than I was the first time. I can barely stop moving my hands and legs. It’s been a few days since that beautiful encounter between Ethan and me. I did not know what to do after what happened that night. I still can’t believe the way my body responded to the kiss. Every part of me wanted to kiss Ethan back, but something in my head kept reminding me how wrong it would be if I did. Ya Allah, I'm so frustrated; I can't believe I'd like Ethan and consider doing such things with him. Life throws you something that you never expect to feel. I have not been able to face Ethan since I discovered I liked him, and since we kissed. When I'm around him, I always feel shy and awkward. I also think about the way my body behaved last time. I can’t be too sure if being around Ethan is safe. What if he wants to kiss me again, and I lose all my senses and kiss him back? I would want to do that, but I know I can’t do that. It seems like only yesterday that everyone was wishing each other a happy new year, but now posters of happy Valentines can be found everywhere. I can’t believe January is almost over and February is already around the corner. It’s been three weeks since Ethan and I started seeing each other. I don’t know if I should say we are dating because we have been on a lot of dates, but Ethan has not asked me to be his girlfriend. Surprisingly I am dying for him to ask me to be his girlfriend. My feelings for him have grown in these three weeks that we have shared. Ethan has been an angel throughout these three weeks. He had kept his promise and had done everything he could to avoid touching me. Ethan has not touched me since the last time we kissed. I am happy he kept his promise, but I am also sad because I can’t believe I am saying this, but my body craves his touch. A week has gone by, busy with preparation for exams. I am currently at Ethan’s place. We plan to spend the day together even though we see each other practically every day.
