Chapter 14

"How about we go for a walk?"

Bella glanced curiously at Vincent as those words toured out his mouth. Her body stiffened and her mind grew weary of his courteous smile. She found it bizarre that Arthur, someone so jerky and monstrous has a friend. Regardless, she wasn't ready to trust Vincent's smile either. He could be a monster in disguise after all.

"Let me guess, you're a Vampire too." She voiced in an uninviting tone.

"By Hell's grace." Vincent chirped, his smile deepening. She squinted her eyes for a brief moment. Thinking about his handsomeness and his endearing behavior.

"I understand you've gone through a lot in the hands of Arthur so it's fine if you don't trust me." His soothing voice sounded, jerking her from her thoughts.

"I don't even know who to trust anymore but fresh air away from Arthur would do." She responded with a sigh. She looked upstairs where Arthur had shut himself in. Wondering what devilish thoughts he was entertaining in his head.
