"It is raining heavily today! How about I drive you to the school in my car." I sat on the circular dining table located across in the kitchen in my seat and enjoying the slice of pasta that Noah heated for me.

I raised my arm and showed my brother a thumbs up, who was cooking some pasta for us, "As you say" I answered him enjoying my pizza that was his mini treat for me in order to lessen my anger towards him.

He thought that I was angry because he did not wish me at 12 o' clock the last night. He was totally unaware of the real cause behind my cries and I did not let him know about it either.

I was just happy that he was showering me with his attention fairly as I had wanted. I can talk about his girlfriend to him later. "No saucy, right!" Noah shouted from a the kitchen.

"Yeah, but some jalapeño will do." I replied looking up from my slice of pizza.

My parents were already gone but not before leaving a note stuck on the refrigerator, wishing me a happy birthday. They as usually had no time for me as their schedule was packed with meetings and other stuff however I did not care.

I have never cared about their presence in my life ever since Noah took over that position in my life. He acted both as my mother and father while I became his daughter whom he pampered with all his love and attention. I was spoilt under the arena of my brother.

"By the way, did anybody else wished you they forget it just like me?" the sound of the frying veggies can be heard as Noah asked me.

I only elevated both my eye brows looking him with my blank eyes as I reminisced as to what have I done to my phone last night.

I remember I was heck angry on Noah that when my phone was buzzing with back to back messages, I just switched it off and placed it inside the drawer under the table next to my bed. The thought of his girlfriend and Noah's so called secret of hiding their not so secret relationship from me, had maddened so badly that I myself forgot it was my birthday the next day.

And just with his those sentences and whispers of the girl behind the closed door of his room resonating in my mind, I called it a night.

"Hey, I am asking you something?" Noah pulled me out of my reverie as he took a seat next me.

He placed two tiffins on the table whilst placing a plate of left over pasta in the middle with two forks, "Uh, Noah... I was so angry on you that..."

"That!!"

"That I switched my off and threw it in the drawer of the table!" I smiled hesitantly. "You just wait here, I will go and get my phone." and I rushed to my room and returned my phone within no time.

"On it fast, I want to see, what have your best friends sent you as birthday wishes!" he remarked winking at me and... I noticed a different expression with his smile on his face that was indescribable.

He seemed so joyous when he mentioned about the wishes as though there really was something in my phone that needed to be looked at.

Any ways, just as I switched my phone on and clicked the icon of Wi-Fi to turn it on, a stream of messages flooded with their notifications popping on the screen of my phone along with the notification ring. My phone almost hanged such that I had to literally bang it on the table and join Noah in eating the pasta.

After some three minutes which felt like three decades just as I opened my WhatsApp, Noah laughed while I hissed hitting my head on the table in defeat because---- there were like one thousand plus messages and the majority of them were sent just by one contact alone, and that belonged to him, the bully of our school and the stupid guy who bothered me all the time, Ethan Connor.
