CHAPTER VI

"I am glad you decided to try out with Blair."

Whitney murmured as she did her makeup. At least she was more understanding of her then than her brothers. "I am still nervous Whit. What if I made the wrong decision." she pouted staring at her reflection.

"We can never know if we are doing the right thing unless we do it anyways." she replied. "And that is supposed to make me feel better?" Levon rolled her eyes.

"Perhaps."

Levon took a look at her reflection after she was done everything. The dress Whitney had helped her buy earlier looked so good on her. It was a short black lace round dress coupled with a pair of white sneakers.

"Perfect." Levon stared amazed.

"You are going to blow his minds out when he sees you. Can't wait for the details." Whitney grinned.

"Hell no. There isn't going to be any details." She tried hard to hide her blush and excitement.

"Hell yes. I bet my money on that. No man in their right mind would not do a thing with you in that dress." Whitney grinned widely. Levon rolled her eyes.

Whitney gave her a ride to the address Blair had texted her. "Have fun and don't forget to use protection in case you go all the way.", Whitney winked at her.

"Ew Whit." Levon grimaced. "What? Anything could happen." she shrugged.

"Nothing is going to happen so stop saying it. Thanks for the ride. See you tomorrow." Levon quickly escaped the car before her friend made any other sex innuendo.

A host welcomed her at the lobby of the restaurant immediately leading her to where Blair was already waiting. She felt so nervous about what to expect.

Her eyes on cue stopped at the cozy bright sapphires. She felt the heat spread around her neck to her cheeks. He looked so handsome sitting at the table smiling at her.

It had been that long since she went on a date.

"Hey." she whispered when she reached the table.

"Hey." His smile grew wider leaning down to peck her cheek before he muttered a throaty hey. How could one simple touch of his lips turn her inside out?

Blair pulled her chair like a gentleman before he moved back to his. "Sorry I am late." she said.

"Like I told you, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are here." His words made her blush slightly if not the look he was giving her.

"This place is really good." Levon complimented breaking his stare that was making her fidgety. And it was.

Beautiful bright chandeliers hang by the ceiling, white cotton table cloth covered each table and the beautiful decorations on each table gave it a romantic feeling.

"Wait when you taste their food. It is good." Blair said.

A waitress interrupted them asking for what they would love to order. Levon let Blair order for her since he was more familiar with the menu and he had complimented the food.

"A bottle of Pinot Noir too please." Blair added before the waitress walked away.

Levon was relieved the waitress was a professional one and didn't dare bat a lash at Blair.

"I was meaning to ask the course you did at college." Blair asked.

"A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering." she replied.

"Wow. That is great." he stared.

"Did your course decision have to do with the fact that your family owned an auto shop?" Blair asked curiously.

"Partly. I have been also been obsessed with cars and engines ever since I was young. I wanted to drive race cars or design them which led to my decision."

Blair stared at her the entire time as she spoke. It felt good that she had his attention and he was interested in what she wanted. Most guys were repelled to women who talked about such thimgs.

Their food came in time and when she took her first bite of the pasta, she smiled. It was really good.

"How about you? What do you do back there in Los Angeles apart from painting?"

"Not pretty much. I love painting. It has been my passion since I learnt how to hold a pencil." he explained.

"I also own a gallery in Los Angeles." he declared. "Really?" she asked curiously.

"Yes. One of the biggest actually. You know if you happen to visit the city some time, I would love to show you." he smiled.

"I woul love to." she replied before she stopped herself.

"Your parents must be proud of you." she added.

"I guess." Blair said in a distant voice but eventually forced a smile. She didn't want to push him if he didn't want to say anything so she shrugged it off too

"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" Blair flirted. Levon fought back a smile and a blush.

"Thanks. You look good too."

The evening went better than she had expected. From conversations about music, cars to a little flirting, Levon never wanted it to end. In a long time, a guy made her smile, made her stomach wild with butterflies,  made her heart beat, she hoped it could last.

After a few glasses of wine and their dessert, Blair had driven her home.

"Thanks for dinner. I haven't laughed that hard in a while." she honestly said as soon as they halted in the drive way of her house.

"I am glad I did and you liked it. I liked spending time with you too." Blair stared. Her eyes met with his and all the pent up sexual tension they had ignored the whole evening came back in full gear.

He looked down from her eyes to her mouth and so did she. Her heart was beating erratically against her chest. It was going to happen. He was going to kiss her except she knew what that fully meant.

"I have to get going. Thanks for the drive." Levon was glad her words came out clearly because her mind was foggy with wild thoughts. She fumbled with her seat belt but before she opened the door, his hand on her wrist stopped her.

"Bl..."

He didn't let her finish sealing his lips with hers. The touch of his lips felt magical as he coaxed hers to abide. Giving in, she let her lips move with his in a toe curling kiss. She never wanted it to end. She wanted more of him.

She let him in as soon as she felt his tongue on the seam of her lips and damn the throat traitorous moan that left her mouth. He tasted good like the chocolate dessert cake and the pinot noir together with something so him.

Her hands found themselves tugging him closer by his shirt and if it wasn't the satisfactory groan from his side. She was hot everywhere now and she wanted him just closer.

She whined when he pulled away embarrassed by her wanton behavior. Blair was grinning at her.

"How do you feel about a second date?" he asked placing his forehead against hers.

She couldn't think not when he was so close to her, not when her mind was still coming to terms with the best kiss of her life.

"I want to take you out again. Just say yes." he coaxed brushing his lips against hers.

"Yes."

It was barely a whisper but he had caught on it guessing by the smile on his face. What had she done? She was going to blame it on his distracting scent and lips.

He kissed her again and both were eager as they searched each other's mouths. They were breathless by the time they broke apart.

Levon felt the wide grin on her mouth before she whispered a good night to him.

"Good night Levon."

He returned his grin still staring at her. Whitney was going to lose her mind if she heard what had transpired.

The grin never left her face till she spotted a shadow in the corridor as she moved to her room.

"Mase." she murmured when he came into the light.

"You are back." he acknowledged.

"Why are you still up at this hour?" she straightened pinning him with her gaze. It was so late and it was the boy's night out. It was surprising he hadn't gone with Leo and Liam.

"I was finishing up something at the garage." he replied.

"Why didn't you go with Leo and Liam?" she asked.

"Mrs. Kline needed her car early in the morning. I couldn't join them." It made sense.

"How was your date?" Mason asked.

Levon sighed giving him a 'don't judge me' look.

"Good actually. I loved it."

"That explains the smile that can't leave your face." he muttered.

"You like this Blair guy, don't you?" Mason asked after a short silence. Levon nodded her head.

"Do you think he is someone you want right now?" he stared.

Levon didn't know how to answer his question. Blair was someone she wanted but also someone she couldn't involve herself so deeply with.

"He fucks with you, he answers to me." Mason declared. "You are starting to sound like Liam and Leo." she gave him a tiny smile.

"They are right. We are trying to protect you." he replied.

"Oh save me some lectures. I can do that my self. Good night Mase." Levon said.

"Goodnight Von."

Levon sighed when she closed the door falling tiredly on her bed that same nostalgic smile etched up her lips. Her phone immediately dinged and she quickly reached for it.

Blair: I can't stop thinking about you. Good night.

Next to the message was a heart emoji. Her heart tightened in her chest as she bit back a smile.

She couldn't stop thinking about him too. Her dreams today's had to contain a sexy blue eyed painter that night.
