3. Getting jobs and a hot boss

         Romantic love is over-rated but

that's what we want in life, some

one who will love us in a romantic

    way.

                                 Ann Marie Aguilar

November

"C'mon it will be okay, just don't talk too much, boss hates that" Esther advised as we entered into the elevator.

Boss hates that? Then how does he cope with you? I thought.

Well, I guess I just need mother luck on my side.

We reached the top floor and the elevator made a 'ding' sound as it stopped.

We went left and was met with and empty table and chair which should be the secretary's office and behind it, was a huge mahogany door.

The door itself looked intimidating.

As we got to the door, Esther took a deep breath before she knocked on the door.

There was no answer, just as she rose her hand to knock again, we heard him:

"Come in" he said, sounding angry like he woke up on the wrong side of his bed. But boy did his voice hold authority.

"Come for me baby"

What the actual fork is happening to me?

The deal was to be fucked senseless and forget that it ever happened, but here was my pervy, horny mind playing tricks on me.

FOCUS NOV!

"November?" Esther tapped me lightly, "huh?" I turned to her confused at the way she was looking at me.

"I said we can go in, and you're sweating, relax babe it'll be fine" Esther assured.

Then she opened the door to reveal the two most amazing view I've seen in my 21 years of life.

One was the view of the busy city of Lagos, that the glass wall gave.

The second was the view of the person sitting in front of the first view (get it?)

He was gorgeously handsome, his chocolate well built body in that armani suit, was everything, it was enough to make my throat run dry and my ovaries scream in excitement.

His well cut black hair that was somehow, miraculously curled at the end like that of a new born baby, was calling out to me.

His lips, oh his lips was everything, pink and small, it looked so soft, then the moustache above it and his well trimmed beards that made me want to run my fingers through it. Oh this man was like a melanin infested Adonis, he looked better than any Adonis.

Then I was brought out of my reverie when I heard Esther clear her throat.

I turned to her and turned to him again but this time, something caught me off guard, he was looking at me, no, staring at me with so much recognition in his eyes.

Okay, that's just plain weird.

"This is Miss November Tete, she's for the secretary job" Esther explained surprisingly in a calm and composed voice, it was almost like she wasn't the one talking, she didn't sound like a talkative, she sounded so mature and formal.

"Good afternoon Sir" I greeted, noticing that he was still staring at me, maybe it was the outfit I chose to wear today, or maybe something hideous was on my face.

But just like that, the look in his brown eyes changed into something, cold and angry.

Bipolar much?

"Have you interviewed her?" He asked Esther, his voice melting my soul as I stood intimidated in front of him.

"No sir, I was thinking, you'd interview her yourself since she would be your secretary" Esther said.

"I don't have time for that, check her, if she's clean, send her back to my office" he commanded, like I wasn't even there.

After he spoke, he turned back to his laptop, which was clearly an indication to get the fuck out of his office.

We left the office, quietly closing the door behind us.

"He's in a bad mood, I hope your clearance with him goes well as for me you're hired, but let me check your credentials and stuff" Esther spoke in her normal talkative voice.

This sure is one strange place with a lot of bipolar patients walking around.

We got to her table and she collected my credentials, nodding like she was proud of what she saw, that was a good thing.

"So you're studying business administration and you've never failed? That's impressive, I was a failure in school, how I managed to get this job, is beyond me" Esther said and we laughed.

"You know the way to his office yeah? Of course you do, go up to him now" Esther ordered after five minutes of her jokes which by the way, some weren't even funny.

Time to face the dragon again

When I got to the intimidating mahogany door, I took in a deep breath before knocking just like how Esther did.

"Come in" his reply came, and I opened the door slowly and quietly.

"Esther told me to come up for clearance" I said in my most mature voice.

"Have a sit miss..."

"Tete" I filled in for him as I sat down.

"Tete, right. The information I just received says that you're still in the university correct?"

"Uh, yes" I replied with a shaky voice

"So you're on break?" He asked relaxing on his massive throne-like chair

"Yes I just finished my exams yesterday" I said

"So what happens when your school resumes?"

"I won't be frequent in the office but days I don't have classes, I'd be here" I said somewhat confidently.

For all the places I went to, this was were my interview ended, telling me they wouldn't allow such a thing and blah blah blah.

So right now, as much as I wanted the job, I wasn't too sure I'd get it.

Although his next words, shocked me to the bones.

"You're hired, but, if you do a good job, and the university resumes, we'd work something out. You start work tomorrow at 8:00 don't even try to be late" he said and I gulped hard at the last part.

"Esther will show you around" he said and I left the office, doing my victory booty dance, in my head of course.
