Chapter 7: I got into a fight the first day

"This is bad, this is bad- No, This is worse. Probably, the end of the world. More like the end of my world." I blabbered, pacing in my new room that wasn't appealing.

It was black and the fact I was reminiscing my moments with my mother-in-law didn't help at all. It felt like the darkness was galloping me.

"What do I do??" I asked, pulling on my hair as my eyes landed on my reflection in the mirror.

Ew! I look like I just wrestled someone for the dress on sale.

"Let's tidy myself," I mumbled, searching for the closet.

I opened the door to my left, quickly shutting it close. It opened again, revealing a buffer man who is supposed to be my mate.

"I.. I- was searching for a closet... is it in there?" How embarrassing can I be in one day?

He nodded but didn't move away, crossing his muscled arms against his broad burly chest. He smirked, checking my short figure from head to toe.

"Want some help undressing?" He asked, causing my eyes to widen and shot up at his face for confirmation.

"You're not Alpha Ivan..." I muttered, pointing out the reason for his golden eyes.

His wolf is out. That means I'm out of here.

"Welp! I'm outta here." I turned around to leave but he stopped by pulling and trapping me between him and the wall of the closet.

"You can't leave until I tell you to." He growled, standing dangerously close to me.

I pursed my lips and stopped my breathing. He took that as a sign and inched closer to my lips. I panicked, knowing what the next move will be.

I'm not that dumb to not know he will kiss me... right?

His eyes flickered to my lips and my eyes as he leaned, closing his eyes in the process.

I have to do something...

And I did. I breathed out the disgusting smell from my mouth on his face. He coughed out, moving away as a reflex and pinching his nose close because of the bad breath combined with the puking.

I took that as a cue to escape and ran out of the room.

"Luna! You're here. I'm glad to finally meet you." A bubbly smiling girl of my height shook my hand.

"Um.. who are you?" I asked, keeping my best to not pollute the air with my bad breath.

"I'm Evelyn, Alpha Ivan's sister." She replied, pulling me to her room.

She closed the doors behind and turned around, firing questions at me. "So, when did you both meet? How did you two meet? How did it feel like staring at one another? Have you kissed him yet? Did you two do something funny while coming here?" She gave a sinister smile.

I replied, "Can I use your bathroom?"

She didn't expect it and nodded hesitantly, pointing at her right. I thanked her and quickly fled from the scene and locked the bathroom.

"Alright, Clara. It's all a dream." I mumbled to myself, washing my face and gurgling with water.

I was deep in thoughts that I didn't notice someone open the door until they called my name.

"Clara."

And what did I do?

I spit out all the water on the person, getting startled.

"M-mother-in-law..." I squeaked out, drinking the remaining water in fear as Evelyn laughed behind her.

"Do you have a weird addiction to throwing on people?" My mother-in-law asked, forcibly forming a smile and wiping the water off her face.

"I am so sorry! I wasn't thinking right- well I don't always but- please forgive me!" I blabbered, falling on her feet and asking for forgiveness.

Evelyn kept laughing as her mother sighed and grabbed my shoulders, picking me up.

"Are you going to cut my neck for doing such disgustingly horrible things to you?" I asked, terrified of the consequences of being ill-mannered.

My mother-in-law shook her head, forming an amused smile on her lips.

"It's alright, dear. Evelyn stop laughing." She glared at Evelyn, making her shut up in an instant but probably laughing inside.

"I'm so so sorry. I was just pissed that Alpha Ivan didn't wait for me and I know we're not mates- well he thinks we are-" she cut me off in the midst of blabbering.

"Don't worry. I already know everything. I wanted to tell you that it will take time for you to know that he is your mate." She smiled.

How is she not bothered by all my nonsense?

"Okay..." I mumbled, unsure.

How does she know I will find out later? HOW IS SHE SO SURE!? Then I remembered, never question a mother. They know everything.

"Well then, before Ivan comes looking for you, you should leave. If you need anything, don't be shy to ask me or Evelyn." Before I could utter anything, she pushed me out the door and slammed it shut.

Well, I deserve this for the things I did to her.

I shrugged and cautiously entered the room, peeking around for any sign of him.

'Hmm... I guess he left...' I thought, walking to the bed to sleep but I found a note on the side table, reading.

Your college supplies are kept on the coffee table. Evelyn will escort you to the office tomorrow. Try not to do anything weird.

-Ivan

"No smoochies? Or xoxo? Pfft- boring." I crumpled the paper and threw it away, not caring about the classes and falling asleep instantly.

........

"Luna, Wake up! We're here." Evelyn shook me awake, looking presentable for the day of education while I looked like I fought an army of zombies.

I was still wearing the same clothes because I was already late and I didn't feel like impressing anyone. At this point. Alpha Ivan probably will disown me.

"I'm awake. I'm awake." I chanted, wiping away my drool.

I quickly got out of the car and lazily, followed Evelyn, trying my best to keep my eyes open but I had to bump into some jock.

It wasn't elegant or romantic but more as I tripped on the runaway in the most inelegant way. I, in fact, accidentally punched his nose.

"What is wrong with you woman!?!" He shouted, shoving me away.

I sat there, heavily drowned in my grogginess. "I bumped in you. That's all. Sorry, now drop it."

He scoffed, "Don't you have some attitude for being new here huh?"

"Oh! You know I'm new. I thought you people only got eyes on the prize."

They very well know what I meant by the prize. It means going to parties and flinging with girls.

That seemed to ignite a spark of rage in him and he pulled me by the collar.

"I'm so sorry. She doesn't know how to talk with strangers. Please let her go." Evelyn, trying to loosen his grip while I looked weirdly at her.

How can she stoop low for a guy who's merciless?

He scoffed again, letting go of my collar as he walked away with his little team, waiting to impress the girls swooning over them.

I groaned, picking myself up with Evelyn’s help.

"Luna, please don't do that. Rocky is a human and he can't suspect a thing about us. It's better if you stay away from him, he's really bad." Evelyn said, pleading for me to give him death glares.

I nodded and gestured to her to take me to the office.

.........

Luck or not, but I met the jock aka bad guy again. The one who wanted to teach respect in the hallway. He was behind the line of the cafeteria as I was done with having food on my tray.

Evelyn had one task left so she left me to save a spot for her and I chose the closest table because carrying two food trays was hard.

I was about to dig into my food before someone slammed my table hard, making the milk in my tray spill on my omelet.

"What the freak do you want!?" I snarled, twisting my neck to look at the person who interrupted my feeding time.

And yet again, it was him. Mr. Rocky. I rather prefer his name to be Socky, his personality is smelly and disgusting like it.

"I should be the one asking you that. Why are you even sitting here? Your place is there." He pointed at the table near the trash.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance and tried to ignore him.

"Are you ignoring me? Get up, ugly woman." He insulted me, pouring the milk on my head.

Evelyn was a few feet away, horrified and her wolf was probably jumping out to attack them but wolf or not, I was up for a fight and teaching a lesson to this guy.

He couldn't predict my move as I slammed his face with my tray, pieces of food dropping down on the clean floor.

"Look who's ugly now." I smirked, taking the spilled milk in my tray and dumping it all on him.

The student body gasped in shock, but did they jump to save me? No. They all want entertainment.

Evelyn quickly stood behind me, quietly pulling me away from the scene I created.

"You! You think you can get away from me! I don't care if you're a woman or not but you will be tasting my fist today." He roared in anger, stomping his way to where I stood.

His friends tried to stop him from committing a possible but he swatted their helpless hands and paced forward to me.

Having fewer seconds to think about how to escape him, I picked the first thing I could grab on.

The way I had it all visualized in my head didn't really go exactly that way. What did I do?

I was about to hit him with the fire extinguisher but fell down because of its weight and accidentally hit his balls hard with my head.

Apparently, accidents are my frequent visitors.
