Chapter 8: Getting Grounded by Alpha

"What does this mean? Getting in trouble on the first day, Luna!?" The principal shouted at me, annoyed, and wiping his sweat off.

"I can explain," I said, hoping he would spare me.

"Fine, then go on." He prompted.

I opened my mouth but shut it the next second. "I didn't think you would give me a chance so I basically didn't think what to say next."

He groaned, tired of receiving troubling news first thing in the morning. "I can't make a decision until Alpha comes."

I hummed unconsciously, inspecting the objects kept on his desk as decoration. It wouldn't be a harm to tour the office now, would it be? Considering the fact that I'll be a frequent visitor to it.

Yeah, I'm planning more upcoming notorious stuff. I can't guarantee that I'll ever stop, so, the college will have to suffer from my attempts of having extreme fun.

The door banged open, startling my calm state and in came Alpha Ivan, looking the same except for the clothing, whilst I wore the same from yesterday.

I wish I had a perfume right now to at least appear as presentable as him.

"Didn't I tell you to stay out of trouble?" He growled in a low tone, glaring at me.

I coughed, choking out my answer to his question that I had forgotten the minute I entered the building of education.

"Alpha Ivan, please help me. The student is ready to file a case in this college for having been hit by her. Please do something." The principal practically begged him, ignoring the cause as he was still standing there with them.

I wasn't the one to begin the fight though... okay, I was but he kept pushing me on the edge so I played a fair share in it. Didn't I?

"Give him something in return, a scholarship, or something worth using it to save my mate." He spoke, stressing on the word mate.

Was it for the reason I still deny it or he just was trying to hold in his anger? Definitely the anger. Crap! I'm doomed for sure.

"Yes, alpha." The principal nodded, quickly leaving the office to fetch the jockey good-for-nothing student.

I scoffed, unable to keep my sputtering mouth to myself, "He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. It was a fair fight, in my opinion."

"And how is it a fair fight? Explain luna." He prompted.

I wasn't looking in his eyes or at his posture and had my eyes roaming around the room.

"He is a human and I'm a human. It was fair because I didn't use any powers as I'm just a mere human...who's probably adopted." I mumbled the last part, keeping the doubts in my head.

He cleared his throat, signaling me to pick up my stare and submit in his eyes. As if I'll do that.

I clearly did that. I take back what I said before.

"If you do anything similar to this again, I won't hesitate to lock you up in dungeons as a punishment." He growled, making me whimper in defeat.

It wasn't a particular werewolf whimper but more of a human whimper which was partially true because I wasn't ready to give up the adventures of being risky.

I can't give up my Crackhead tradition.

"Of course." I lied.

He nodded and left without uttering goodbye.

I can't understand him... I really can't. What is he really like?

I shook my head, shoving away the feeling of curiosity. I don't want to kill another cat for my curiosity (I don't really kill them).

But then, what is he really like?

........

"You're grounded. You'll be staying inside these four walls for a whole week." Alpha Ivan declared, fuming with anger.

Why? Because I had another fight with him again. This time I didn't spare him a glance but he decided to push me away, harshly. And so, I jumped in for another fight.

"What!? Also there is another wall- like a small one- so it's five walls." I pursed my lips, trying my best not to argue with him that I'm basically doing.

Will I ever be able to control myself?

He growled, "Lock this room." He ordered his gamma and stormed outside the room.

"Hey! No, wait-" Taylor shut the door on my face, locking it.

I groaned, pounding it on the door, screaming to let me out but not a single soul in the house came to free me.

I had it enough. I have decided to escape again. This time the plan better work.

"Now... from where do I escape...?" I mumbled, surveying around the room.

I found the window wide open but the problem was that this room was on the third floor. I can't possibly jump from that height... can I?

Better than nothing.

I searched for an object which can land me, with no struggle, on the ground. The room was clean of any escaping equipment.

"No rope, no bedsheets, no freaking thing!" I exclaimed in exasperation.

I have to do something. That window was my last resort.

My eyes landed on the bunch of pillows, neatly put on the bed. Honestly, who would need that many pillows? Oh, wait! They are, of course for my little escape plan.

I smirked in triumph, quickly grabbing all those pillows and carefully throwing them down, outside the window. It landed perfectly on the ground but I was still unsure.

"Hope I don't sprain my leg or something." I took a deep breath and climbed outside the window. "If I die because of this, then I will haunt you, Alpha Ivan," I added.

On the count of three, I jumped on the soft pillows but I still managed to get my ankle sprained. I yelped in pain, accidentally letting my voice known to others around the block.

"Shucks-" I cursed, trying to get up and go unnoticed but luck never visits me.

"Luna? You weren't supposed to get out." Some man said, obviously well-built and handsome but alpha Ivan is still more handsome.

"Uhh... I was just getting some fresh air. Oh, look!" I pointed behind him, diverting his mind.

He frowned and looked behind him. I quickly pushed the pillows away and tried running away. With that sprained ankle, I was only able to take ten steps.

The man then looked back at me, learning I tricked him. He probably mind-linked about this as he took big steps towards me. I pushed my legs forward, slipping out of his grip and ran wherever my feet led me.

"Where's the freaking exit!?" I jerked my head sideways, looking for a big sign of exit for a dumbhead like me.

"Catch her!" I heard the guard yell, directing the others to catch me.

Having no time to decide, I took the first lead. It seemed like a cave but maybe it will work for the time being.

I tried to run but my legs stumbled against the steps and I got rolled like a burrito downstairs, still getting rolled till I bumped into someone who toppled over me.

"What the f-" The man who has stopped on my unfortunate rolling and held himself up with his arms astride, gazed in my eyes.

I felt captive in those chocolaty brown orbs, flickering at my eyes. What it felt like was unexplainable. My heartbeat quickened and I felt strangely hot.

"You're heating up." He whispered, frowning at me.

I could say the same for him. He was turning reddish or it was eyes.

"You too," I muttered, looking closely at him.

I felt a strange electric snap from him, making us both separate. I sat, patting my warm cheeks which were getting hotter by another minute.

"What did you do to me!?" I growled (an attempt) at him, pulling him by the collar.

He didn't know what was going on because he was witnessing similarly to me.

And in a flash of seconds, an unexplainable light shone from his eyes that led me to close my eyes and be pushed back by force. Strangely, I couldn't open my eyes again and fell into an empty void of darkness.

Somewhere far from civilization and peace, a den echoed with a strange incantation. People in black cloaks, stood in a circle, mouthing some foreign language.

A statue of Ice posed in the middle of the circle had engravings of signs that seeped blood out of them. But it wasn't any ordinary blood, it screamed evil as the dark red blood dripped down on the ground from the little cracks increasing into a large one and joining others to break apart the statue.

The people in black cloaks, stretched their hands finalizing their incantation which burst the ice into shreds of glass, disseminating into black ice.

"Witch Esmeralda has risen! Witch Esmeralda has risen!"

A smirk grew on the figurine lips which were shaded darker than the shadows and fiercer than the red.

"I will fully rise when I kill those two." A grudge and raspy voice spoke, which was once a statue.

The people bowed to her, putting their hands on their heart as a Vow to die along with her and live on her permission.

"Vivian, I hope you know what to do." The black shaded lips smirked at the lady who was dressed in the cloak among the others.

She nodded, bowing, and sealing the order with the sacrifice of a drop of her blood.
