Chapter 3 She Lost Her Baby

Ye Ke'er took out her cell phone and dialed Ye Wanwan's number. "Sis, I know where Bo Qianqian is."

"Ye Ke'er, what are you planning now? Please don't hurt Qianqian!" Ye Wanwan shouted into the phone anxiously, afraid that something terrible would happen to Bo Qianqian.

The smile on Ye Ke'er's face became even more complacent. "She is now at the top of South Mountain. I'd recommend that you pick her up immediately, otherwise there's a good chance she won't live to see the next sunrise!"

"Don't do anything! I'll be right there!"

After hanging up, Ye Wanwan staggered out of the hospital, leaning against the walls for support.

The night wind blew harshly over her body, causing her to shiver from the sudden cold.

She could clearly feel that she was still bleeding, her stomach was in extreme pain, and her body was on the verge of a breakdown.

But the thought that Bo Qianqian was still on the top of South Mountain and that her life was in danger kept Ye Wanwan moving.

By the time she reached her daughter, it was already dawn.

By this point she was so exhausted that she simply collapsed to the ground.

There was a smile lingering around the corners of her mouth. Though she was in horrendous pain, she could finally feel some relief as her little Qianqian was still breathing.

"That's enough."

Ye Wanwan had left her newborn son with a nurse and been out for quite a while. She was worried that something horrible would happen to the other child, so she hurried back to the hospital with Bo Qianqian.

Before she could enter the ward, Bo Qing, whose eyes were as scarlet as a beast's, slapped her fiercely in her face!

"Ye Wanwan, you miserable b*tch. Give my son back to me!"

Bo Qing gripped Ye Wanwan by the neck tightly. The strength he was exerting was almost enough to snap her neck right then and there.

Ye Wanwan was in so much pain that she couldn't even catch her breath. "Qing, let me go! I'm dying..."

"You're dying? Ha!" Bo Qing laughed coldly. "My son is dead! You didn't care if he's sick or dying, did you?"

"My son is... dead?"

Processing the meaning of his words, Ye Wanwan was so stunned that she felt like she had just falling into a cavern of ice.

She rushed into the ward and found a crumpled baby lying motionless in the cradle, showing no sign of breathing.

"No! This can't be!" Ye Wanwan roared. Her eyes were red, but she heroically tried her best not to let her tears fall. "I asked a nurse to take care of him. He is not dead. He's fine. He is not dead!"

"Ye Wanwan, you left my son behind for the sake of protecting some other man's bastard. He's dead because of you!" Bo Qing's eyes had gone blood-red.

At the thought of Ye Wanwan going to look for Bo Qianqian right after giving birth, and without even having a look at her newborn baby, he wanted to hack her into thousands of pieces!

"Ye Wanwan, I really want to kill you!"

Behind him, the voice of Ye Ke'er's mother, Shen Ning, suddenly sounded. "Qing, Ke'er has just given birth to a baby boy!"

Upon hearing Shen Ning's words, all thoughts of punishing his wife left Bo Qing's mind and he glanced at her with a gloomy expression, then rushed towards the delivery room.

Ye Wanwan fell to the ground disappointedly, as if she had been sapped of all of her strength.

She had lost her baby on the first day of his tragically brief life. "Why is this so?"

Like a walking corpse, she stiffly climbed to the side of her dead son.

She gently held him in her arms, as if she was holding the most precious treasure in the world, and whispered over and over again, "Baby, you are still here. You're just sleeping, right? Come on honey, wake up. Open your eyes and look at Mommy. Mommy can't live without you..."

"Baby, it's all my fault. I was too useless to protect you. Sweetheart, wake up, please..."

Ye Wanwan refused to let go of her child just like that. Tears silently flowed down her face as the dam of her self-control burst open. Her despairing look was like that of a cracked porcelain doll on the edge of a hopeless situation, and even a single light touch would be enough to shatter her into a million pieces.

If her husband had stayed by her side while she was giving birth, her baby would not have died!

However, her husband had only cared about Ye Ke'er, her younger sister, and the child in her belly.

Even now, though their son had just died, he had left her behind to take care of her sister immediately upon hearing the news of Ye Ke'er's delivery.

She could only imagine how happy and excited they were as they held the crying baby in their arms.

And her own baby, whose soft little body was gradually becoming stiff and cold in her arms, had already stopped breathing.

Ye Wanwan cried until she thought no more tears could come, but even so, she could not change the fact that she had lost her baby...
