I thought I was trembling, but when I opened my eyes, the one trembling was the ground itself. The rouges came to an abrupt stop as they looked around confused. They dug their claws into the ground as they held on, but it was useless. Aghast, I watched as the earth literally opened, the rogues plunging deep into the darkness leaving me alone but safe.
I felt like something was clenching inside of me and soon, the ground closed, returning back to its normal state as if it hadn't opened a while ago. I blinked dumbfounded before flicking my gaze up to find all were frozen on their spot.
My gaze found Marcus who was actually looking quite hilarious at this moment - for even in wolf form -as his mouth was wide open. Then he gave a wolfish grin before he threw his head back, howling happily before clamping his teeth down on the rogue's neck in front of him.
