“So, it’s settled then, huh. We’ll go to Baguio this weekend, right?” Greg said in the other line. I bit my lip hard and looked at him a bit.

It was a weekday night and we were having a video call while I was studying and he was doing his professor stuff.

“I’m still gonna ask Mom, though,” I said and pouted my lips. Just thinking about it now made my heart beat faster than ever. Damn it. I looked at Greg and he was just staring at me. He heaved a sigh and gave me a small smile.

“It’s okay, I know you can do it,” he said as if he was consoling me. I made a face.

“Well, I really hope so,” I said and gave him a small smile, too.

We then went back to what we were doing. We’re always like this every night. It’s actually comforting that we are doing this every night. We may not be together physically, but I still feel like we were in one room even though we were just facing each other virtually. It’s actually kind of an advantage for me as a student, too, because I could ask for his hel
