If I didn't know better, I'd say, I have a headache. Last night when I got to the cafe, it was so much fun between I and Rose. Her surprises, she got me a recipe book and some flavours for icing doughnuts and cupcakes. It makes me want to jump right to the kitchen, but I have class. I shrugged out of bed careful not to trigger the ache anymore than its already triggered.
I showered and got dressed in a simple shirt and black jean pants. The trip to my kitchen seemed like a long journey but I made it without a moment to waste.
The timer on my coffee table went off. That's usually the time I go for a morning walk on weekends or days I was in high school. I turned it off and turned on the cooker. I made haste in making scrambled eggs and eating it with the bread I got last night. The bread was truly amazing and I ticked that off among the many things I want to learn.
I rushed out of my apartment and quickly stopped a taxi. Well thank goodness the school wasn't far from my apartment.
It was not my first day at the university but it's my first time here being around so many students. I jogged to the school cafe to grab a quick coffee before heading to class. My knees seemed to jolt every second. I retrieved my coffee and went to my seat pulling out my purple binder. I read out my schedule for today.
"Hey"
I looked up to find a blonde guy staring at me with a smile on his face.
I waved my hand meekly at him.
"Can I seat?" He asked and nodded with a smile. He took the seat opposite me and pulled out his own binder. I grinned.
"You keep tabs too?" I asked him and he chuckled while nodding. I admired his black binder and it was looking so neat. Mine was a bit old.
"It's healthy" he shrugged. Finally someone understand my use of it. My mom didn't.
"I'm David" he stretched out his hands and I took it.
"I'm Stormy"
"Nice name" he grinned. I caught him staring at my ringed finger. Well it was nothing actually. Just this ring, virgins where. It seem overrated though. Mom made me wear it before I started off for New York.
"Your engaged?" He asked and I stared at him wide eyed. I wanted to yell no but how do I tell this guy I wear it because I'm a virgin. It's more like a virgin ring.
"Um..no. do I look old?" I laughed nervously.
"Not at all. My parents got married in college though. So I was thinking...."
"No!" I quickly said. Why was I being jumpy. "Um...no. I'm not engaged"
"Cool. I thought your fiance would get mad if you hung out with me"
"You want us to hang out" I chuckled. "We just met"
"You don't become friends with Someone you've known all your life, it's always a new person"David said reasonably. He's right though.
"Sure then. But now I have to get to class" I said getting up. I sipped the remaining of my coffee and trashed the can In the nearby bin.
"What class?" David asked, gathering his binder.
"Literature"
"I get why you've got a binder now " he smiled knowingly. "That's my class" he grinned and I almost jumped with joy. At least I'll know someone in the class. Someone I just met now. He seems like a good person. He even wears overall.
"Wow. This is so cool"
"Yeah. Shall we?" He asked and I nodded. We headed for our class. Somehow, I knew I've found a friend. Someone who'll always be there for me. A great friend.

I tried not to let the happiness this day brought to me vanish as I sighted the lip ring, in all black guy. I need to get his name. He just stepped into the cafe as David stepped out for his next extra class. He came in with such aura, some students stared at him. He seemed to be looking around for something...or someone. Immediately his eyes landed on me, I looked away.
I opened my textbook going over every thing I heard in class today but my mind wasn't focused. I was well aware of a pair of blue eyes staring at me. Maybe I should just walk up to him and ask what he wants exactly. I watched him move from the side of my eyes. He was coming toward me. I cringed and buried my head deeper into my book.
"Hey Storm" he greeted.
"How do you even know my name?" I snap right back at him.
"Not hard to figure" he grinned and I stared at him with utter sarcasm. "Well mine's Scott"
Well, at least he told me his name too. I turned in my stool to stare at him. He had his lip ring between his teeth as he glared at me. Why do I find that distracting? He raised a brow at me and I forgot what I even wanted to say to him. As annoying as he was, he is cute and handsome.
"Scott. Your not an American are you?"
"Complicated" he said and reached for a dumped piece of paper on the table. I didn't mean to pry but at least he's not mad or looking like he's about to burst. Just like he did that day at Rose's cafe. I was actually scared he'd do something worse.
"You like my lip ring that much?" He asked and I noticed I'd been staring at it. I shrugged and looked away not giving him the satisfaction of seeing my cheeks go red like a tomato. "Your cute when you blush" he said and I blushed even more. What's wrong with me? He's the bad guy. He's annoying and I should stay away from him.
"I wasn't..um...blushing" I snapped and he grinned.
"Don't get me wrong. Your cuter when your also feisty" he said and I groaned ready to hit his head if he says one more embarrassing thing to me.
"What do you want?" I asked him. He must have a reason for always bothering me and I hope he doesn't mention those knishes again. If not.....I inhaled deeply waiting for his answer. He rubbed behind his head looking from side to side. was he nervous right now?
"Um..actually I want to apologise"
I blinked in disbelief as Scott apologised. He looked unsure and like he'd never said sorry in his entire lifetime. I sat upright and giggled. He cocked his brows looking at me confused."What's so funny?"he asked."Your way of apologising is awful" I grinned and he frowned the more. Maybe I could just have a little fun with this."Where I come from, you apologise with a little peace offering" I said trying to look serious. He snorted and then nodded."Fine! We'll have dinner" he said and it was my turn to frown. Who does he think he is."I didn't hear a question" I said."I thought you wanted a peace offering. Did I still have to ask?
Scott was always asking a lot about myself but if I asked about him, he just seemed to avoid the questions. I finished up my glass of water. We were having dessert now. I must say, the food is good. I'd come here often but I can't afford it."So you just spend your free time studying recipes" Scott said. He was twirling his cup in his hand as if thinking."Yeah. I love to cook""Well how about tomorrow, you make something for me" he said. I stared at him long and hard."What?""I'm sure you'll love my kitchen" he grinned. He does speak of having all the ingredients I might need. But what's in this for him. I narrowed my eyes at him."Why would I cook for you?""Because you love cooking" he shrugged. He does have a point."I know but what's in it for you?""I get to eat your food" he smiled. "You must be a great cook"
Religious class was the last class I had for the day. No yoga today. I dropped at the cafe looking around for David. I didn't spot him at class. We always seat together. I saw him seating at our usual corner and walked up to him."I didn't see you in class" I took the seat next to him."Yeah....I got stuck up at home" he said lowly. There was an off tone to his voice but I didn't want to push it. David always told me when something was wrong."Oh...alright. are you ok?"He nodded and then stared at me. "Have you seen Scott today?" He surprise me by asking. I blinked. "Sorry....I just thought you guys were close""We're..... friends" I told him. David nodded."I haven't seen him today" I answered truthfully. We were supposed to hang out this evening but he hasn't even showed up. I haven't seen him since that night he saw me and David together. And that's two days ago.
Scott's idea of him not being a romantic person is hideous because I think he is. We're seating in his car trunk. It was too late to stop by anywhere for lunch so Rose helped package some stuffs from her show glass. Including Knishes. And Scott loved that very much. Even though he didn't say it."Where did you get candles from?" I asked as Scott lit the last candle with a lighter."I guess I always had it" he shrugged."Why? To light your car up in the night?" I chuckled making Scott roll his eyes."Very funny""Oh lighten up." I said and laughed at my own joke.He placed the last lighted candle on the little wood we got from Rose. He laid blankets in his trunk and we sat in while eating sugar coated junks and watching the moonlight."This is very nice" I said. "Romantic" I teased and Scott snorted."Lame" he said and i hit his sh
Scott pulled me out of the water until we were back in his trunk again. I thought I blanked out. I literally swallowed a lot of water through my nose. Scott removed the blanket from the floor of the trunk."Take your shirt off" he said. I know this is not the time to argue so I pulled the wet material up and over my head. Scott's eyes blazed on my skin before he wrapped me up in the blanket. I touched my cheeks sure they were flushing red. I was putting on a cotton bra. Not so attractive. But Scott didn't call me out on it. I was expecting him to say something sarcastic or rude but he was too busy in trying to keep me warm.If I did know better, I'd say his eyes flickered over my body appreciatively."Why'd you jump into the water like that" Scott scolded."You tickled me. Your not that innocent yourself"He frowned "Don't start with me"I rolled my eyes at him. S
I don't have classes today because it's Saturday but I went to grab some books from the library anyway. I'm working on an assignment. Since I was in school, I just stopped by that cafe to grab coffee. Usually, it's me and David but he's not here now. I wasn't so surprised to see few students were at the cafe but I smiled when a familiar red head waved at me.Kale. Scott's friend from the other day. He jogged up to me leaving his bunch of friends. Including a sassy looking blonde who kept sizing me up. What the hell? She's pretty and all that but I don't see the chances of me and her becoming friends."Stormy. Been a while" he surprisingly hugged me but I didn't flinch. I guess it's common among college students. Shaking seems old fashioned. I shrugged away with a smile."Nice to see here. You almost never come here""Yeah...this place is crap" he snorted and I chuckled.
I tried on the last gown there was to try. I and Rose picked a lot. All of different colours and sizes. All were cute and pretty but this white one really caught my eyes. I stared at myself in the mirror. it has a lace neck, it's not cut too low but sure to show some of my chest. It was short to my knee and flay like a ballet gown. Definitely a garden party dress.. I smiled as i walked out and Rose had that same expression I had on my face on her. This is it!"Your so getting that dress" Rose chimed. While I showered getting ready for Scott to pick me, Rose offered to help make pancakes. I rolled my hair into a towel and tied one round my chest as I joined Rose in the kitchen."Here's your pancake" she placed two huge pancakes on my plate and dropped a tiny one for Hailey."Thanks for making it" I said."No deal. I was hungry for one anyway" Rose dropped the last of the c
Storm POV"You don't like it?" I asked him. He seemed to be struggling with the right word to say and then he scratched behind his head. A nervous habit. I narrowed my eyes. I thought he'd like the gown."It's so....white" he said and smiled. What does that even mean. I moved out of the way so he could enter. And just like that, my mood had changed instantly. Scot swears!"Fuck! Storm you look lovely. I just didn't know what to say" he says but his eyes are so unsure. What's up with him."Let's just go to the party" I told him and grabbed my purse from my counter. The black little thing seemed to go well with my heels."Are you sure? Cause we can stay if you want""Scott!" I scold. He folds his arm leaning against the wall watching me as I paraded round the house. Not like there was anything I was doing, I just want everything to be perfect.
