This means war

Mel's face was covered by her curly hair, nobody could have seen the devilish smirk that had crafted on her face but for me. I knew what Melissa was doing, and her act wasn't going to be pretty for blondie.

As a boxer we can't use our techniques as we please; everything we do is for self-defense and self-defense only. And Melissa figured if she was hit, she would be able to defend herself and would avoid getting a long suspension.

Blondie snickered in happiness thinking that she had proven a point; gasps heard behind me by the people that had surrounded us. And then there was me, thinking should I stop Melissa from beating the blondie to a pulp or to enjoy the show.

I did what any best friend would do; I just took a few steps back to be in the safe zone, and I advised the group of students that were surrounding us to do so too. Some did as what I said because it looked like they got the message; others stood in the same place.

"If you guys don't want to get hurt, I advise that you take a few steps back," I said and the others did as they were told.

"Ha, don't make me laugh; you think I will get hurt by this bitch". Snickered blondie as she pointed a finger towards Melissa.

Melissa took this as an opportunity and cross punched her right in the nose; blood was pouring out of her nose like a running sink. Blondie's face was making a painful and horrified expression. Then she started screaming in pain from her bloody nose. Then she glared at Melissa for what she has done, and Mel just smirked.

"OH MY GOD!!!! Look at what you did with my nose! And I just got my nose done last week! You will pay you, bitch!" Screeched the blond girl and came charging at Melissa with both her arms opened. This girl is leaving herself wide open, I think she's even begging Melissa to beat her up.

Melissa took the girl's right arm and slid her foot on the blonde's right foot causing her to lose balance. Melissa then turned her back and picked up the girl and slammed her to the floor, she also put the same arm she used to throw herself and pushed it on her back.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!; let me go!! Bitch if you don't let me go right now I swear I will..... Ahhhh!!" She was caught off by Mel pushing her arm even further from its place, almost breaking it, that's when I decided to come in and stop the fight. That was until, the same big guy that I saw in Damien's group take action.

Now, me thinking that he would separate the girls in a more gentle way then he did. But no, this bastard decided to pull Mel forcefully off the blonde, and then throw her, yes you read right, he THREW her off the girl. Mel harshly fell to the ground, and I ran to her side.

"Are you okay?" I said looking at Mel with worried eyes. She only gave me a soft smile and nodded, I smiled, now knowing she was okay. I could now give my full attention to the bastard.

I looked where the guy was, he seemed to be talking with the girl, and she only nodded. He then said something making her eyes widen slightly, and then she nodded and left, taking her minions with her. He then looked towards at us, and glared at me; I gladly returned his glare, but much harder. He then walked towards us, the crowd that once surrounded us ran away, now leaving the cafeteria nearly empty. He then glared down on us, and his glare was quite intimidating, but I clearly did not let that show.

"You will leave Brittney alone from now on. If you know what's good for you," he said, in a low deep voice, and then he directed his glare to me. A slight shiver ran down my spine when his eyes and mine locked together. "And you will stay away from Damien, also if you know what's good for you." He said, and like that he took his leave.

An embarrassed blush came upon my face from what he just said. 'He doesn't think I can protect myself?! And not only me, Mel either?' I thought. I then looked at his now leaving body and screamed the following.

"I can protect myself y'know!" I screamed at him, but he's leaving body didn't falter; he kept on walking like I didn't say anything. It's like he didn't even hear me, and that made my face flush red in irritation.

I then sighed, trying to regain my composure and not letting his words affect me. And I succeeded.

"Come on," I said to Mel, helping her up. "Let's go home, "I said, not wanting to stay at school. She nodded and followed. And like that, we left the cafeteria and went home.
