Chapter Twenty-Two

There is a very specific feeling associated with waking up in a hospital that is solely dependent on who you are in the hospital.

For those waiting around for news of whatever kind, there are indistinguishable emotions in every person, though they can be split into two categories; good and bad.

The excitement of someone in their life giving birth, and a newborn baby’s cries echoing down the hall. The good news of pregnancy, or the excitement of a loved one's cancer no longer present on scans. The excitement of any news that is meant to be heard happily.

This is the good.

But not everyone at a hospital is there for happy news, and often times people will forget this fact, though to no fault of their own.
