My eyes opened to a familiar chamber — my bedchamber. Surprisingly, the pain had disappeared. I sat up quickly but immediately winced at the sudden bolt of sharp pain that coursed through my body. "My lord, you are awake," an extremely familiar voice made me look towards the doorway. Andrew was entering the room with a tray in hand. 

He must have read the confusion on my face due to which he started speaking even before I had asked him anything. "Lady Alexandra informed me through a missive that the High Queen had taken you into imprisonment. I appealed to Her Highness and told her that, you were...being misled and taken advantage of by lady Myra...so-"

But he stopped speaking midway when he noticed me glowering at him. "How. Dare. You?" I was practically trembling with anger. However, Andrew raised his chin a little defiantly. "I apologize for being audacious. However, I deemed whatever would benefit you, my lord." He lowered
