Chapter VIii

Exactly 8:15 PM when Sasha went out of the shop with the owner Miss Lyka. She was smiling while talking to Lyka and when her boss' husband came, Sasha waved goodbye. She looked around to see if that Eustone was somewhere but nope, there's no annoying face.

It's not like she wanted him to walk her home, she just thought maybe he was there because he looked like he was serious. She started to walk home and shake him off her head when at a bench not far away, she saw a guy.

Her heart raised thinking it was the same guy that chased her but when she got closer she realised it was Eustone. When she was in front of the guy, she shook her head. Eustone was sound asleep just in a sitting position and at a bench? Was this guy crazy?

"Hey! Hey, wake up!" She was slightly slapping his cheeks.

"Hmm?" Eustone groaned, slowly opening his eyes.

"Why are you sleeping in the open? Aren't you cold? You could've gotten robbed." She was worried. He was probably waiting for her a long while.

"How was work?" Instead of answering her question he asked that as he rubs his eyes.

Sasha wanted to make up for him somehow. "You wait here for a while okay?"

"You still have work?" He asked yawning.

"No. Just wait here. I'll be real quick."

After saying that she started running away. Just at the next shop after their shop was a choco drink vending machine. It was really a cold night and thinking he had waited for her, she's sure he was cold.

She took out some coin and inserted it in the vending machine. Now she has a cup of choco drink in her hand, hurrying back to him.

"Here," she handed him the drink. "You're probably cold."

Eustone showed a flattering sweet smile. The moment he grabbed the drink, he intentionally touched her hand. "Thanks."

Sasha sat beside him and sighed. "You shouldn't wait like this again."

"I wanted to," he said that made her look at him. He was staring back too and smiled. "It feels nice when you worry about me. And for this drink, you make me want to get used to this."

Sasha didn't know why but her heart started beating fast and she feels warm even when the night is cold. She can't even stop staring at his eyes. His eyes were drowning her.

It was crazy because then Eustone touched her face. She doesn't let anyone touch her face but now he was. She just couldn't move at all!

When a car beeped, it startled Sasha back to reality and she looked the other way. She even started fanning herself. "We should get going. It's getting late," she uttered while standing up.

Eustone chuckled and followed Sasha. When she started to walk away he had to grab her hand. "That's not the way," he said. "I brought my car so..."

Sasha cleared her throat. "Okay."

He led her the way and opened the car door for her. It has been a while since she has got in a car. And those times were the blinding scenes of a tragic history. It made her uncomfortable but she didn't want him to notice.

As soon as Eustone got in, he put down the choco cup on the dash and started driving away. Along the way Sasha was wondering why he didn't throw the cup away at the trash bin.

"Why didn't you throw that?" She asked him.

"It's something I want to keep," he answered.

"You're keeping trash."

"If it's from you then it's not trash to me," he stated and took a glance at her for a moment. His eyes were lit  up with something unusual. The sparkle in his eyes were what she has never seen in that someone's eyes before.

The ride to her house was quick as ever. The moment he stop, she immediately got off without saying a word to him. Eustone can't keep up with her phase so he just looked at her from inside his car. He leaned back and stared at the cup in front of him.

"It feels good and then it goes bad so quick," he murmured and sighed. "I'll be patient. I know it ain't easy to trust people."

A ring on his phone made him shift his gaze. He took his phone and looked at the screen. His mother had called him. He was hesitating for a moment but then he slide to answer.

"Why on earth did you move away without telling us?" Anger was more clearly heard in her voice than her query.

"Everytime you guys are away you never say anything. I just made it a little fair," he answered nonchalantly.

"Stone!" That yell made him move his phone away. "Move back here so you help me and your dad with this--"

"No. You can send the things I need to do via email. I have already shouldered enough of the responsibility that isn't mine."

"Stone, please... come back home."

The plea his mother was making almost sound like they were going to be a happy family when he gets home, but then he knows better.

"Yeah. When I get enough of freedom."

After saying that he hung up. He glances at Sasha's house for a second and then back in front. He started driving away with his mind clouded up with different matters. It was always exhausting thinking of things he can never change.

The next morning was Saturday and Sasha has a half day at work today. She's early as ever since her shift starts at seven in the morning and ends at one in the afternoon. Not to mention sometimes she has a whole day of work when it gets busy.

"Good morning, miss Lyka," Sasha greeted her boss with a smile.

"Good morning, Sasha," miss Lyka greeted back. "I will go out for the rest of the morning. Also, Nicole called in and she can't make it today."

"So, I'll be all alone today?"

"Nope! I can't let you do all the work!" Miss Lyka yelled shaking her head. "I asked my nephew to be with you today."

"Oh! That's nice..." she muttered. Nephew, so it's a guy? She never like guys. They aren't trustworthy and they mess things up, she thought.

"Oh here he is!" Lyka yelled that snapped her out of her thoughts.

The moment she turned around and saw her boss' nephew her eyes immediately widened. So, they were freaking realated?
