14. Lilies and a Liar

I decided to confront Mark that night. There was no point in delaying the discussion. I caught him in the act, and it was time to rip the band-aid out. I invited him to dinner at my apartment so we can discuss it in private even though I should publicly shave his head and humiliate him. But Alas, real life doesn't work that way.

"Mmm....it smells so good in here! What's the special occasion?" he said when he walked inside.

"No reason, just wanted to have dinner. We haven't seen much of each other lately, so I figured we should sit down and talk," I said.
