Chapter Eight

Two weeks later

Iris

"So what do you think of this executive suite?" Enyinnaya questioned the moment we got into our hotel suite in Dubai.

"You should know that I am yet to check it out, so what's the rush for?" I questioned rudely, trying my best to squash the pride born out of his choice of hotel.

The suite was a large one befitting royals. It featured a large sitting room with a flat screen TV, a four sitter dining table, sliding wooden doors and a large work desk. The bedroom was a quite an eye catcher too, featuring a Walk in closet, a powder room, and a king sized bed. I smiled when I saw the bed, it was large enough to accommodate four people of my size, at least I was confident that I didn't have to be afraid that I might have skin contact with Enyinnaya. The bathroom also had it's attraction, in short the hotel would pass as a 6 star hotel to me.

Nice choice Enyinnaya, really nice. I thought, but I wasn't going to tell him that else his ego swells from my compliments and I knew that was what he wanted.

"So, now that you have satisfied your eyes, can you tell me what you think about the suite?"

"It's just hotel why are you do bent on knowing what I think. That aside, I'm very hungry could you have them send up food for me please?" I was going to change the conversation but he wasn't going to let go that easily.

"I'll do that. But, you know that doesn't answer my question and it feels like you are trying to evade my question Miss Adelana."

"Why would I do that? Evade your question, I mean. Anyway since you insist on knowing I'll just go ahead and tell you. I'm not awed, there is nothing spectacular about this suite that is worth complimenting you for. Absolutely nothing"

"What! How can you say that? Mami, Atlantis The Palm is one of the very best hotel in Dubai. So how can you say that about this place?"

"Well I simply spoke my mind, okay? Besides there really isn't anything amazing here."

"You think so? I won't argue that with you, just wait till you get a tour of this place."

I wasn't going to tell him a tour of the hotel wasn't necessary to get me impressed. The suite already had my whole heart caged. For me, this was a game and I was prepared to win.

"You speak like you have been here before, have you?" I asked although I wasn't really interested in knowing.

"Yeah, a lot. I love this place and their staffs offer good services too."

"Figured that, little wonder the staffs were trying their best, no, make that beyond their best to impress you." I expected a response with a hint of arrogance from him and Enyinnaya didn't even try to disappoint me.

"Well, that treatment is reserved for the very very important people, you know VVIP like me and coincidentally you since you are my guest." He replied grinning at me.

"Oh, ehen so does that also explain why the female staffs seemed to be the only set of beings interested in catering to the needs of Mr VVIP? I asked and immediately regretted doing so. I briefly wondered why I had asked that question and my annoying inner self whispered to me

"Girl you are jealous" I brushed the thought of as an absurd one. There was no reason to be jealous, so it couldn't be jealousy.

As if reading my thoughts, Enyinnaya cleared his throat and said "Mami, do I smell jealousy? It can't be, right? You certainly don't have any reason to be jealous seeing as we are not in a relationship and you don't have feelings for me or perhaps I am wrong. Why don't you tell me Mami?" He said, all the while, keeping an annoying smug on his gorgeous face and for once I noticed the deepened part on his left cheek and another, though less prominent on the right cheek. Gosh! The guy had dimples, how could such an annoyingly arrogant brat be so sinfully handsome?

"Why would I  be jealous?" I asked faking a laugh. Believe me when I say it was an unsuccessful act.

"I don't know. You should be the one telling me why you are jealous."

"Oga, stop insisting that I am jealous. The question I asked what out of caution. I need to know that you won't do anything stupid to make me look like a fool to the staffs. I also need to be sure that I won't be contracting any disease during my weekend here." Maybe that was really why, or maybe I was just becoming good at lieing and acting.

"We are educated adults and surely we both know how to use a condom, so, the fact that you may contract a disease shouldn't disturb you. Anyway, consider yourself a very lucky woman since I am not the kind to cheat on my woman and for the next three days,  you are mine. Knowing that, you should have no worries Mami, none at all." He concluded and walked into the bathroom.

"That's such a pretty sentence coming from the lips of one of Nigeria's Playboy." I murmured to myself, but Mr VVIP heard me.

"I can hear you." He yelled out from the bathroom. "The fact that I can't cheat is the reason I am a Playboy."

"That's the most insane thing I've heard. But I'm not surprised since it's coming from you." I yelled back.

"But, I am quite serious, though. I date a lady for a few days, weeks or months and break up with her before moving in to the next lady that catches my fancy. That way, I don't have to cheat on any, buy I still don't have to get attached seriously to any of them. So you see, I agree that I am a Playboy, but I don't agree that all Playboys are cheats."

I laughed out loud at the statement, it was funny but had it's truth to it if looked at critically.

"Fine, you win." I said and made myself comfortable on the sofa in the living room.

It was just Friday and I was already looking forward to what the remaining part of the weekend would birth, though, this time, it was with a newly birthed enthusiasm born from knowing I would be spending the weekend with the gorgeous young man in the bathroom.
