Melanie ran her fingers through my hair. She had just come back from school and came straight to see me. She heard my absence from Mr Desmond, our teacher who had subsequently heard it from Mr Elliot, curtly informed by my dad.
"I went to your house, but there were police bands around and nobody answered the door. I was asked not to go in by some police officer I saw." She explained. She said the house was so messy like a robbery happened.
