The doctor guided me to my room. "Have a sit Missy," he said calmly.
"Where is my father?" I asked through gritted teeth. He had this sorry look on his face that made me know my father was not in a good condition. "I know he had an accident, but please what hospital is he in or is he in this one? Let me just see him." I pleaded with glossy eyes.
"I'm sorry but-"
"But what? Look at me, I'm fine. I wouldn't loose my senses if I see he broke an arm."
"He's-he's gone."
My heart stopped at the mention of that word 'gone'. What does he mean by he's gone? I laughed hysterically at what the officer said.
"Ok, today isn't April fools, I'm not dreaming and I've had enough for today. Can you cut it out and tell me where he is or did Sophia send you?"
