I can't believe I am really doing this. Tunde murmured as he walked through the corridors of the Department of Agricultural Science. He could feel the stares and attention he was getting from the students.
Immediately Iyunade walked into the house, Bunmi and Stella fixed their gazes on her, which she avoided as she walked up to a chair and took a seat."I am really famished. Is there anything I can eat in this house?" she asked in another attempt to avoid the questions she knew was on their minds
Tunde laid on his bed deliberating on whether to call or chat Iyunade up. He had been stuck on what decision to take for over 30 minutes. He knew he had to appear normal and not too forward when talking to her."If I call her, it would look like I am being too forward," he mumbled, then picked his phone which was lying at his side.
Tunde strolled down the stairs happily. He had woken up with a smile plastered on his face, he was just so happy. He got to the end of the stairs and walked straight into the kitchen to meet Mama Ife and two other maids who bowed their heads when they saw him.
Iyunade eyed Chief Adeakin angrily as they sat inside Cafe Chrysalis. She was furious that he had called her without any former notice but there was nothing she could do but meet with him. "Bro Tunde, won't you eat? Dinner was served about two hours ago," Ife said. Her tone of voice showed that she was worried about him. Since the day they met Chief Adeakin and his female companion at the newly opened restaurant, he had been moping around with a sullen look on his face. She had tried to ask him or do things to shake him out of the funk he seemed to be in, all to no avail. Even right now, he was on the floor of his room, just lying down and staring into space.
The cool breeze swirled around the atmosphere and felt like a soothing massage to Iyunade's face. This was exactly the reason she loved sitting in the compound of her hostel. Most times, the breeze made her relax so much that she forgot her problems, even if it was just for a moment.Sitting outside is always worth it.
"Yes Mama Ife. My friend is still in coma so I still have to be in Abuja for some days. No, don't worry. The doctor said he will soon regain consciousness," Tunde said into his earpiece as he drove through the roads of Abuja."Okay son. I pray he recovers soon. Everyone especially Ife misses you here at home," Mama Ife replied. He could hear the mixture of feelings in h
