CHAPTER FOURTEEN

The Venue fixed for the party was at the Donalds duplex.

Mirabella and Michal spent the night there and their mother came with Jerry very early in the morning to start with the preparations.

After the brief introduction made by Catherine, Jerry got acquainted with Mr Donalds and they started discussing politics and other matters that involved men.

Mrs Donalds and Catherine busied themselves with work in the kitchen, and they flowed into different conversations.

"Who is he?" Mrs Donalds asked.

"My boyfriend." Catherine replied.

'That was too quick' Mrs Donalds thought, "Really?" She asked.

"Yes, any problem with that?" Catherine stared at her.

"It's okay." She smiled. She knew Catherine's husband before he died, he was a very good man she never thought she'd replace him so quickly.

"His name is Jerry." Catherine continued "And he makes me so happy."

"So happy that you forgot about your kids?" Mrs Donalds said before she could take the words back, Catherine glared at her ready to explod
