Chapter 1

~Trish's POV~

*Present Time*

I woke up with a major hang over and I wanted to hit my head on the wall to end my misery. It’s not just the hang over but I had so many things that were bothering me. So where do I begin? Three months ago, I woke from a two year coma. Imagine waking up to a different life, like a complete stranger in your own life. It was as if I woke up to live someone else's life. They told me that I got into a car accident and almost died. Apparently, I sold Legacy after that my car got hit by a truck. I wish that is what my memory tells me but it doesn’t.

I don't remember selling our family business even though it was not in good shape. I had Stanley providing me the money that I needed to keep the business running. He even introduced me to some of his friends and acquaintances. The bizarre thing though, no one seems to know Stanley not even Mikel. He told me that he has no idea what I was talking about. I told him about the things I remembered about Stanley and he just listened with no clue on what I was talking about. I know Mikel, he wouldn't lie to me and he wouldn't keep anything from me. He wouldn’t even try to make fun of me about something this serious.

My brain tried to process what was going on but I was trapped in a memory of a guy that seemed to have never existed. They said it might have been my subconscious that created the illusion in my mind during the time I was in coma. That would be reasonable but why would I imagine myself having an affair with a man twice or thrice my age for his money. Why would I have a memory of having hot steaming sex with him? To think that it was so vividly in detail. I don't have a very graphic or creative imagination about sex with another man. The man I only slept with if Stanley was indeed a pigment of my imagination was Scott.

Speaking of that asshole, he left me for another girl after being in coma for two months so much for love. Things weren't just making any sense. To top it up, there was a strange woman who claimed to be my guardian since my parents were murdered. Her name was Luna. Mikel supported her claims but I had no memory of her what so ever. I tried to get rid of her since she was giving me the creeps but Mikel kept on taking her side. So I end up living with a stranger in a house - they kept telling me I own and bought before my accident. Things were really not making any sense for me. It was like they rip a page in my life off and replace it with a different story.

I have to figure things up on my own and not share my dilemma with anyone. I might end up in a psych ward if I tell them my theory of someone erasing their memory and altering it. Just like my belief that my parents were murdered by a vampire. This would be another secret I would be keeping. So how did I end up in bed with a throbbing headache and a hunk walking out from the bathroom with merely a skimpy towel?

One week ago....

"Mikel, I really shouldn't be partying. I mean, I'll be broke by the end of the month if I don't get myself a fucking job." I complained as he was helping me choose something to wear for the night.

"Trish, listen to me you need this. You've been stuck in the hospital for therapy and it's finally paid off. You've recovered from your coma and it's time to celebrate." Mikel stated as he was going through my closet.

"I just don't feel like going out. I felt like I'm stuck living another person's life. And Luna is really getting into my nerves. She's so bossy and I'm getting suffocated by her." I complained.

"She just wants what is best for you. And besides you should be excited to get out and meet other people. You've been isolating yourself long enough. It's time you get some actions."

"What do you want me to do? Grab a stranger and get laid." I stated as I got the outfit he selected for me. "Excuse me." I stated and went in the bathroom to change.

"Well that would be a good idea." He smirked at me when I got out the bathroom. "I think it's about time you get some release. How long has it's been since you last have an O?"

"Mikel, I was in a coma. How the fuck can I get laid? And besides, I've been having hot steaming sex in my dreams with a man you don’t seem to remember. Are you really sure you don’t remember Stanley?" I reasoned.

"Oh you poor thing, you can't be seriously contented with wet dreams. You're vagina might run dry." He stated exaggeratedly. "And stop thinking of that Stanley guy whoever he is. I honestly, do not have any idea who he is."

"Fine. But I have been having a different dream these last few days." I stated seriously as I was putting my make-up. "I kept hearing a voice telling to forget everything that had happened. It’s really strange."

"Well maybe it's your subconscious telling you to forget about the accident and everything that had happened in the past and start living your life again." He stated as he was selecting what shoe I should be wearing.

"No, it's not. His voice was very authoritative at the same time it was seductive and sexy. It sounded very hypnotic." I stated while putting my hair up in a loose bun. “I can’t figure out why I keep dreaming of him talking to me.”

"Really?! Wow, I'm already drooling just hearing your description." He embraced me and kissed me on the cheeks. "But Trish, baby girl, you need an actual guy in front of you, not some guys in the crazy dreams you've been having."

"Whatever Mikel, I just hope that I still have my dance moves from years ago." I stated laughing.

We headed to a club to meet Mikel's friend, Sam. It was the opening day of the club - Moonlight Delight and the line was so long. There is a separate entrance for VIP's which was guarded with two huge men. We headed at the end of the line as Mikel tried to call his friend. We waited in line for ten minutes and the number of people in line almost doubled but they were letting only a few people inside.

"Mikel, I think we should just go to another place. This is hopeless." I stated as I saw three people get in at the VIP entrance. "They are not letting people in.

"They will be. Sam will be here any minute and told me to wait. Please just stop complaining." He stated.

"Oh really? He better be capable of getting us in or I swear I'll never go out with you two again." I replied.

"Trish, he's really nice. Don't be such a baby. Come on; remember when we used to wait in lines for hours just to get in a bar." He reasoned.

"No, I remember cutting the line and heading straight to the bar." I laughed.

"Right, those were the days when you were fun. Now, I doubt you can still work your magic." He stated looking at me from head to foot then back up my face.

"Yeah. I know." I smiled and looked away from him.

"You know, I'm just kidding right?" He stated then hugs me. "Besides, I bet that you can easily get in and I'll be left out here in the cold."

"You're crazy." I stated laughing at him.

"Hey, I'm sorry to keep you guys waiting." A gorgeous man smiled at Mikel."

"Sam, no worries we were actually enjoying the evening breeze." Mikel stated excitedly and in a matter of seconds, the two of them were lip locked.

"Wow, great. You know I hated being the third wheel." I stated annoyed.

"Don't be silly, Trish. By the way Sam, this is Trish my best friend. And Trish this is Sam."

"It’s a pleasure to meet you." He smiled at me sweetly and I checked him out. "Like what you see?"

“I love what I see!" I stated flirtatiously then shook his hand while smiling back at him.

"Oh, come on. Don't tell me you got hots for my man." Mikel glared at me.

"Are you threatened?" I teased him as I wrap my hands around Sam's arm.

"No, never." He embraced Sam tightly and I laughed at him.

"Well, let's go inside. Come on." He escorted us going to the VIP entrance.

"Don't tell me you own this club?" Mikel stated surprised.

"Would you be disappointed if I said no?" Sam replied. "I'm friends with the owner. And no friend of mine is waiting on that queue."
