Chapter 123

HE hated darkness.

Darkness was the only place he’ll charge into, if he has a choice. The room that Sean Olaire put them into was dark and smelled like blood and rotten flesh that it made him sick. He had to keep himself from inhaling too much air or else he had to vomit again because of the foul smell. His eyes tried to roam around, looking for something that might catch his sight. Probably a sliver of light? But to no avail.

His whole body seared in pain. He had a set of broken ribs, arms sore and aching from the chains that awkwardly binding him to a wall. His left eye seemed to be bleeding, considering that he felt like a sharp pain from the side of it. Drake Lornn knew he looked worse for wear.

He began to feel around him. Wherever he touched, the floor was rough and seemed wet and sticky. He feared that what he was touching was a pool of blood. Just how many people were tortured or killed in here? Based on the awful smell, he knew that there were dead bodies
