Thirteen: Wouldn't work.

Mom patted my shoulder, heaved a deep sigh, smiling weakly. Since the whole ruckus had happened the night before, she hadn't been happy. She claimed that she caused all of it by asking me to get married to her son. Although I tried to convince her that it wasn't her fault, she still continued to blame herself. 

"I'll leave now." She lowered her head, pursed her lips, her face so weary that it seemed like she would cry again. "Once I get home, I'll call you. And please, do not hesitate to report Sebastian to me."

I raised her jaw, smiling at her. "No problem ma. I'm fine now."

"Are you sure you'll be fine if I leave now?" Her eyebrows linked to each other, her beautiful face holding only fear and sadness. 

I nodded. "Yes. It's eight already. I don't want you to get home late. Don't worry, I'll be fine. I promise you. I also won't let Sebastian treat me badly. I'm still… slightly angry
