Thirty four: Just one.

This was weird. Too weird. 

It was almost two hours since Adrienne and I had started this project, but I still couldn't learn to be connected to what we were doing. The fact that I was with the woman I had once been married to, was a really crazy feeling. Again, she seemed so different. 

When we had been married, I thought she was some kind of dumb person. But now that she was explaining this project to me, I could tell she was quite knowledgeable. That was probably a reason many of our trainers liked her. 

"Do you get that?" She snapped me out of my thoughts. Oh jeez, I had completely forgotten she was explaining something to me. 

My eyes flared open. "Huh? Get what?" I immediately regretted that I asked that. She'd know I hadn't been listening to her. 

"Really?" Her eyebrows creased in an intense glower. Slamming her palm against the table, she stood up
