Fifty eight: Fifty years.

Mom stared blankly at Sebastian and I. All I hoped was for her to accept this relationship. Well, there was a probability she'd accept it. She always said God forgives us for our sins, so we should learn to forgive others. 

Her eyes moved to Sebastian, then to me. "How did this get to happen?" I couldn't grasp the particular emotion on her face. She widened her mouth, looked at me. "How did he even get here? Am I the only one who finds this weird?"

"Ma, I used to think that too." I glimpsed at Sebastian, took his hand in mine, and smiled. "But I think fate purposely sent him to me. Whatever's meant for you, is meant for you."

She sighed. "Honey, are you sure this is fine? I mean, I don't want you to… you know, have a heartbreak again."

I could feel Sebastian wasn't comfortable with this conversation, so I just chuckled. "It'll be fine. I trust him now. And besides, we're so in love now. O
