The Past
He kept on checking his phone and for the fifth time. There were no missed calls or any text from her. He was beginning to get worried and so he called his best friend.
The first thing "Hey buddy, what's up?"Nothing much, you good?"Yeah. I can't reach Dani, is she over at your house?"Nope," he replied stressing the 'p' sound. "You can call Stacie or Ruth, they may be together or something, ya know those girls how they do," Louie stated."Thanks, man, I'll see ya." Ezekiel dialed his sister's number and she picked on the second ring. He quickly asked her if Dani was with her."Yes, she's with me but Ruth is not here. I'll tell her you called and she'll call you, keep your mind calm."His mind was at peace hearing his girlfriend was having a nice time with his sister. He smiled.
"That girl got me wrapped around her fingers, he muttered to himself. His phone vibrated in his pocket. Checking the caller ID, he smiled.
"Ni hao.
"Ni hao ma."Wo hen h
Later that night, 11:37 pm...Stacie and LouieShe rested her head on his chest, circling her fingers on his chest, while he was caressing her back down to her butt cheeks. He was thinking, he seriously had a feeling that something bad was going to happen but, all his friends were going so he has no choice."I can't tell my parents, I'd send a message to my brother Michael, he thought." He broke off his thoughts and stared at his girlfriend."Babe, I'm having a bad feeling about this, I don't know, but she's my best friend, I can't say no, and my brother is also going to the cabin. I'm scared."She was obviously shivering, chewing on her lower lips, and hugging him tightly."Hey don't be scared, we'll be fine."He raised her face closer to his face. His eyes roaming her face, he used his index finger to trace her lips softly. He kissed her."Stacie, you're beautiful, you're unique and I'm glad you're mine."She smiled."I'm g
The trip to Lakewood Cabin was a rather quiet one. The kids had taken off two hours ago, 11am, not the actual time that was agreed upon the night before, thanks to Stacie and Louie, who had arrived at the meeting point at 10.57am.They had tendered some excuses about having to wash the bus and have it fueled for the trip, which none of the kids were having, since they were always the ones to come later than the rest. It was Ezekiel, the eldest among the clique who first took the initiative to take a jibe on the two love birds, then the rest followed like gang members, who had been waiting their turn to assault a target. The two had apologized sincerely, and everyone had taken their spot in the white Ford Transit that belonged to Stacie's grandpa. Ezekiel had taken the wheel for one hour and an hour later, Louie relieved him and drove for another hour. The sun took on a harsher form as noon passed by, its golden ray beamed brightly on the windshield, forcing Louis
"Guys, guys, we can’t just stand here forever." She threw her hands up in frustration.Ruth who hasn’t said anything all through the ride down to Lakewood was already losing her patience."Ugh!" she grunted, "Dani can you lead the way inside, please? I’m tired and I need to pee. If y’all wanna stay out, fine!" She took her duffel bag and box and walked up to the door."Let’s grab our stuff and go in," Dani said, scurrying past everyone to unlock the door. As soon as they all entered the house, the stench of dust hit them hard, the house felt cold."I-I-I can-n-n-t finds a switch. Oh, okay, I got it," Ruth said, feeling excited already. The house was neatly organized and decorated as if someone cleaned it because they were coming."Whoa!" Stacy exclaimed."Let’s get settled then, we should pick our rooms," said Ezekiel, he picked up his box and followed his girlfriend, they all followed Dani.Ruth wh
It's been two days since they arrived at Lakewood. It was Sunday morning around 7 am, jasper was awake he didn't know why because, it was very unusual for him to be awake by this time of the morning. He got up from the bed wearing only his briefs and the fluffy catty slippers that Mrs. Baldwin gifted him two months ago. He entered the bathroom, opening the cabinet he took out his brush and toothpaste, closing the cabinet, he swore he saw a lady behind him in the mirror, he opened the cabinet and closed it he saw the lady, this time he took a closer look at her, she looked almost normal except that her skin was too pale, he closed the cabinet again and was about to open it,"hey babes, morning""Morning babes" he replied nonchalantly, brushing his teethIgnoring his tone " why you looking like you seen a ghost""That's because I saw one right where you're standing" he mumbled incoherently"What did you say""Nothing babes, I'll be
"Are you OK?" Louie asked, concern written all over his face."Yea I am", scratching the back of her head she tried to remember what had happened, but it was blurry, the only thing she remembered, was she walking in the hallway and the rest she was still finding it hard to remember."What happened? Did jasper attack you ?" Ivan asked."I haven't seen him!" She replied hastily."Here, let me help you up," Ivan said, holding his hand out, she held it and he pulled her up.They all entered the room, jasper was laying on the bed, laying on his back with no shirt on except his black pants, his hand was folded on his chest and he wasn't breathing.Ruth sat beside him, his hand was cold against hers, "jas baby, jas baby!"There was no response, he laid still and as cold as anyone could get.Fear gripped her, she placed her head on his chest, his heart was beating faintly,Ruth lost it, she began to cry."He's
"I don't understand, first, it was Ruth and then you," Ezekiel said gesticulating with his hands. "Is this some kind of joke?" he added."Jokes? really? who jokes with such things" Jasper flares."Then why is your story not adding up""Because you don't understand, that's a better way to put it and not by saying this is some kind of joke""Because it feels like a joke to me""You know what Zeke", Jasper said, he was angry already "just forget it, I'm awake and that's all that matters", he said, standing up from the bed, he picked up the lighter and an already wrapped blunt. He was going out for a smoke, Ezekiel dragged him by his arm and shoved him back, "we're not done talking man""Oh yes, we are," Jasper answered.Jasper is known to have a temper and the one who acts fast that no one dares. He stood face to face with Ezekiel."Whether you believe my story or not, I don't fucking care, touch me again and I'd not hesitat
"Hey guys, come on in", Stacie called. "I'm preparing for dinner."They both stood up to enter the house. You guys have been out for two hours. Dani said, not bothering to take her eyes off the diva's magazine."The both of you need to shower," "you smell of sex" Ruth's face turned a shade of crimson red. "Shut up" she playfully punched Ezekiel. He faced Jasper whose face cringed with anger. "I'm sorry about earlier, I know I shouldn't have said what I said though, whatever is going, we would figure it out"Jasper's face softened " I'm sorry too" he was going to hug him but, Ezekiel stepped back covering his nose and laughing."Seriously, you were going to hug me with your sex smelling body" "ewwwww, that's gross" he added."Wait until I catch ya" Jasper bellows loudly, he began to chase Ezekiel but Patrick stopped him around the corner that led to the dining room. "Hug me instead," he told Jasper and he hugged him. "I love to s
This was the fourth time she was calling her father and he did not pick, neither did he return the calls nor send a text, she dialed his number again and it went to voice mail again."Hi to Anyone calling, I'm busy and I'll return your calls later, thank you."Frustrated, she dropped her phone on the kitchen counter with a thud, her mother had even manage to pick her phone, just to tell her she will call back in the next two hours, she was losing her patience already, it's been three hours and her mother hadn't called back and her father that she also called , did not pick up his phone. She was curious to know who this Elena Martins was?She had only heard her story once or twice, she was just nine years old and grandpa had brought her and her older brother Justin to the cabin. She didn't even know if she recognized those people anymore. She knew, she had a bad memory when it came to remembering things. Standing up from the stool, she poured herself a glass of w
