Chapter 37- Missed him

I was headed to the restaurant that had had great doughnuts the second day the curse took its course, alone after a long, boring class.

When I stepped in, my eyes immediately found a certain someone, alone. James in all his six foot one foot glory sat alone at the table with a book. It kind of felt odd. Or what felt the most odd was me actually striding in and getting a seat.

A person in the right frame of mind would have probably chosen somewhere else, yes? But there I was thinking I was in the right frame of mind.

After ordering a burger and chocolate ice cream, I took the table at the far end, hoping he wouldn't see me.

Wrong move. I had had just one bite when I found him looking at me with a burger in my mouth. Never liked eating out. Or an ex sitting tables away, watching me devour beefy, delicious burger and licking my hands filled with ketchup.
