Chapter Seventy-Seven


Lucinda opened her daughter's room door quietly and stared at her. She saw her sitting on the bed staring into space unaware of her phone that had been ringing constantly.

She was surprised at how quickly her daughter had become a shadow of her former self. Ever since she got back from that vacation, she had been staying in her room all alone not even opening up to her and it hurt her so bad.

She had stopped coming down for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Her father had noticed it and inquired what the matter was but she had blatantly convinced them that she was fine.

But Lucinda knew better. This wasn't fine. Who the hell zones out all day not knowing when her phone is ringing or when someone enters her room.

She had even enquired from her friends and they hadn't been able to give her any tangible answer or reason why she should be acting weirdly.
