Chapter 5: Best day of the week

                                        Chapter 5

If Saturday is my favorite day of the week then trust me Sunday is way better, because I literally don't have to wake up at all till past 1 in the afternoon. I mean no choirs no need to wake up early.

After waking up at 12noon. I do a little bit of communication with my maker since I still haven't found a church here yet.

I guess my room would just have to do. Moving on I do my usual yoga routines before I take my time to do my business in the washroom.

I wash my body thoroughly to remove all the sweat from my body. Fifteen minutes later I'm all dressed in a  purple hoodie and ocean blue jean trouser.

I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen to find my mom cooking Chicken Gulag and plane rice.

"Finally! You got your lazy ass outta bed "

"Mother... I am, in fact, not lazy, I just happen to chose when I want to wake up... Especially on Sundays"

With that, I begin to set the tables as my mom rounds up the cooking. 15mins later I was taking my time to chew on my food and digest it while my mom had already finished most of her meal and was just whiling away time by watching TV.

A few minutes later we both dropped our utensil signaling we finished our meal, I take out the dishes and while at it, the doorbell goes off to alert us that we have a visitor. Which is strange coming from one who just moved in 3weeks ago.

My mom rose to get the door and freeze when she finds out who is at the door. I tell her to reveal the person but she didn't make a move. So as I finished up the last of the dishes I head toward the door only to be greeted by a gorgeous sky blue eyes but with a dark hair.

It takes a while for me to remember That he was the guy that was hurting his thumb with a metal object the other day. I followed him outside to sit on the porch, he gave me his goofiest smiles as he tries to construct a statement

" Ummm. Sorry to... ruin your perfect Sunday... I didn't plan to drop by... At all... It's just. I thought it would. Maybe you could... Pls, could you tell me your name :) I.. It totally skipped my mind last time. Um, by the way, the name is Ethan Nicholas. "

"Oh it's nice to meet you again Ethan"

I said. He looked at me expectantly as if to say I'm forgetting something before I finally said

"Uwana Namya"

And he smiled at me and asked.

"So how was service today... Or did you go to church"

"No. Still Haven't found the perfect church yet."

"Oh well... You could come to my church. If... If that's OK with you"

And I replied

"Sure I'll give it a try some time"

"Sooo... Whatcha up to."

And he said

" You wanna go for a ride :}"

He smirks at me as he pointed to his power bike. I give a little nervous smile saying

"No thanks, I'll pass. Besides, I have something even better Than that"

He responds with a naughty smirk and saying

"So you think you can challenge me ...huh, Its on :]"

With That I hurry back into the house, making him think I was going get a motorbike of some sort or probably back out of the challenge, but he was horribly wrong when he found out I came out with Raymon instead.

"Haaa! You are gonna race on That thing"

"Hey! No one talks to Ray Ray that way!!"

"Alright alright easy their feisty. But I have to warn you this baby is quite fast... There is a reason she is called Bolten."

"Oh yea well there is a reason he is called Ray Ray"

And Raymon neighed in response. Just as I'm about to mount Raymon my mom calls my name.

I groaned out Loud and went to answer the call. 15mins later I'm back outside and on my horse when Ethan said

"May the best runner winner"

And I replied

"Thanks I will"

And he responded

"Yea good luck with that"

And with That, we were off into the sunrise. I couldn't  believe it, for the first time in forever I was in a real race with a real person. It's not like I haven't been in a real race with a real person before, it's just I only get to do that in my home town and I am a million miles away from my home town.

I could feel the adrenaline rush through me as I keep trusting forward.  Even though it sounded unbelievable to the ears, it was actually true I was in a mini-competition with my new found friend Ethan and I was winning.

I am sure you are wondering how a motorbike is losing terribly to a horse well it's simple, and the answer  isn't far fetched.

Raymon is no ordinary horse, he is one of a kind whose powers and speed secrets are hidden deep within the knowledge of our people.

The race started two hours ago and I had succeeded in staying ahead of him for those two hours. Right now Ethan was running out of Gas and Raymon was thirsty already but I still kept on pushing him forward.

"Hey!! No fair how on earth is that horses faster than my bike :("

Ethan said and I laughed out loud because I was two inches ahead of him, it gave me so much joy to see him lose to not just a girl 'me' but to my favorite horse in the whole wide world!

Finally, we decided to take a break, we stopped at a filling station. Ethan finally filled his tank and we took a walk toward the riverside on getting there we stopped so Ramon could take a drink to regain his lost energy.

"Wow!! :)... I can't believe you beat me to this, like.... I am so speechless right now. 'Cus that horse is one of a kind"

I laughed at his statement and I respond in my most heart-warming voice.

"Your mean Raymon is one of a kind"

And he gave me a look that says hell yea

"Yea he definitely is ... Wait who now?"

He asked with a perfectly raised eyebrow. I chuckled at his reaction and rephrased my statements

"He has a name you know, and that name is Raymon"

"Whoa for you to give him a name it only means you to have had a lot of memories together"

I smiled at his statement and said In my mind if only he knew... With that, we started making our way back home.
