Chapter Thirty Seven

                                The hall was resonating with the shouts of his father. Who was astonished and raged at the same time? His eyes weren't moving away from Lily. He saw water shining in his father's eyes, seeing Lily. He hadn't seen his father like this before. 

        " You know this! You know that she is alive. " His father yelled at Jolley madly. 

        " I was compelled. She is my friend too. " Jolley said, " You were married. I didn't think her demand was unnecessary. " Jolley said. 

       " You have nothing to do with me nor I. " Lily spoke, stepping ahead, pinning Nicholas with her stare. 

        He was pressing his fingers strongly around his thumb making a fist of it. It was one way to control his rage.&nbs
