It doesn't mean that when you decide to leave, you will be forever running. Sometimes you just need the time to sort things out, even birds come back.

I couldn't tell how long I gazed at his sleeping form before I turned my back. I left without a single word of goodbye. I was scared. I knew that I might not leave if he tried to beg me one more time. I knew that I would give in to him. I badly wanted to stay but I couldn't afford to so. I forced myself to walk out of the house that morning with heavy feet and never looked back again. I willed myself to move on even if it was killing me. Thus, from that day on, my dreams were haunted by his image.
