FAQ#Feature and Promotion

#How can my book receive promotion?

There are three promotional opportunities for every book:

Signing Promotion (30k words minimum): Upon signing, your book will automatically be promoted. No need to reach out to your editor at this stage. Just keep updating!

50k Words Promotion: This requires an editor's recommendation. If your book reaches this milestone, please contact your editor for promotional possibilities.

Stable Updating Promotion (Exclusive to exclusive books): If your book meets the following criteria, contact your editor for further promotion:

Release a minimum of 2 chapters daily.

Update on at least 25 days in a month.

Publish over 2,500 words daily.

#How can I confirm my book's promotion?

Visit your profile page, navigate to 'Author Center,' then 'Stats Centre.' You can access this either via a laptop or by visiting m.goodnovel.com on your mobile device. This section provides your promotion history and related statistics.

#Understanding the Promotion Process

All signed books are eligible for promotion. However, promotional spots within the app are limited. Our marketing team uses a sophisticated algorithm to determine which books to highlight. All books, regardless of current popularity, start from an equivalent position, often in a less-prominent feature spot. As your book's performance is assessed – considering metrics such as engagement and actual purchases – it may be moved to a more favorable position. Continuous good performance could result in regular features.

Contrarily, if the book's performance dwindles, it might be replaced after a few days. Remember, reader engagement drives these decisions. If your book is removed from a feature, it doesn't reflect its quality. Various factors might affect its reception, such as:

Title or Synopsis: If they're not compelling enough, consider revising them.

Pacing: If your story unfolds slowly, readers might lose interest. You might glean insights from top-performing books on GoodNovel and make necessary adjustments.

Niche Topics: Some genres or topics naturally appeal to a smaller audience. Discuss alternative promotional strategies with your editor in such cases.

Lastly, there's also an advertisement-based promotion. Due to the significant costs associated with placing ads on platforms like G****e and F******k, not every book is eligible for this method. However, if your book shows substantial promise, we might sponsor ads for it at no cost to you. Typically, your editor will notify you about such promotions. If you observe a sudden surge in your book's views, it might be due to an active ad campaign. Ensure to confirm with your editor!
