"I cannot believe that happened," Javier growled, leaning against the chair's backrest which he had in front of him.
"But I got to say, it'll make the win a lot more satisfying," Marcus mumbled in reply.
"True," another voice spoke out lowly, sinisterly. The two turned to the tall, pale man whose arms were crossed and whose back was against the wall. "I will get my revenge on him." he spoke, nonchalant, though he clenched his jaw so tight it would've broken his teeth.
Marcus' brow raised automatically upon hearing that. "Are you honesty that stupid? Don't you know who he is?"
The man scoffed at that and felt a tendon of anger be pulled in him, "Does he know who I am?" He pushed himself from where he leaned. "I'M LEE DAE-HYUN!"
Marcus shot up from the seat he sat on, "AND I'M MARCUS D'FROI!" He huffed sharply. "But who the hell cares because he's Roux Dahlberg; he's long left the shadow of his father. He is no player to disregard."
Javier, who sat quietly in his chair didn't mind not getting a say in the conversation at moment because he was far too amused by the two hot-headed morons fighting right in front of him.
The smuggest of smirks rose on his lips as the two other kings stared each other down.
Thank goodness his parents weren't around at the moment, just perfect because it was his turn to host the king meeting, thus why they were hanging around in his family's wine cellar.
Their said vehicles with slashed tires were towed to a car shop by the way; Javier's family helper picked them up.
The man on his seat laughed lowly at the child-like arguement sprawled before him. "Ay, I swear, this is better than the telenovellas mama watches."
Just as the two turned to glare at Javier, the universe decided to employ justice amongst them by sending forth wrath in designer pumps.
"ANDRÉS CRISTÍANO JAVIÉR EMANUÉL ALONZO ROSARÍO!" the world quaked as a door flew open to reveal the practically literal devil in prada, the prima donna of the house, at least when Mrs. Rosario wasn't around, the Brazilian king's sister.
The being on the seat cringed at the sound and whipped his head to the fury charging at him. "WHO IN A THOUSAND HELLS DID THAT TO MY CAR!"
"YOUR CAR?" Javier shot up from where he was seated. "WE HAVE JOINT CUSTODY OF THAT JAGUAR IF YOUR OLD HEAD FORGOT, ESTRELLA."
"NOT AFTER I TELL PAPA YOU GOT THE TIRES SLASHED." the iron maiden snapped. Javier scoffed out a chuckle, spitting out in Portuguese, "Funny. You're stupid enough to think I'd slash my own tires!"
The two glared at each other and started professing profanities until a separate one of them shouted, cutting the siblings off. "I swear, you two fight like moronic children." Marcus spat, completely silencing the bickering Estrella who was intensly infatuated by him.
Javier raised a brow at that, "You're one to talk."
But hid sister was too hot headed to completely be silenced, "Who the hell did that to my car, Marcus?"
"Someone you cannot cross."
She raised a brow, "Ha. I never thought you would trade-in your king status for a fool's."
Marcus and Javier scoffed, the latter of the two ended up laughing dryly at the girl's infinite over-confidence. Estrella raised a brow and placed her hands on her hips, ready to resume another verbal assault, but just then, Dae-Hyun spoke up the name, "Roux Dahlberg."
She turned to him, "Am I supposed to be scared?"
Dae-Hyun scoffed and crossed his arms tightly, but as he was supposed to speak up, another beat him to it. Marcus barks, "Rule #1: Don't ever retaliate to Roux Dahlberg."
All three of them then raised their brows. "Are you joking?" spoke a surprised Javier. Estralla, equally surprised, pitched in, "You're making a deal regarding some stupid person who slashed my tires?"
Javier groaned, "He slashed three of Marcus' car tires, just like my car," he stressed out the my to annoy her sister, "and one on Dae-Hyun's motorbike. To top it off, insurace won't cover for it if not all four, or two in Korean-ass' case, are flat! I bet that da-"
"Of course he knew that! Which is exactly why you shouldn't go near him."
"All the more reason to kick his ass." said Dae-Hyun.
"I have made rule number one." Marcus countered. "You know what I'll do if you bite back."
Dae-Hyun chuckled deeply at the threat then clenched his jaw, "Fine. Rule #2: No one sabotages the other when they have contact with target."
"Okay, what kind of idiot deal is this?" Estrella huffed, half frustrated by the lack of knowledge and half interested for it involved car slasher. The three guys looked at her and soon enough she knit her brows deeply.
"Oh come on! There is no honor amongst people like you. Just tell me what the hell your game is this time. Is it another girl?"
Javier snarled, "This is the part where you leave."
"I swear-" Estrella attempted to fight back, but just then, Dae-Hyun cut her off, "Honestly, I'm not in the mood and I have a tight schedule so, leave before I make you."
There and then, Estrella left, defeated and fully internally vindictive. She knew unless a mortifying slip-up, this deal of theirs will never be known to her or anyone for that manner. It was their code and as barbaric as they can get, they never ever break this.
Now in silence, they completed the rest of their nine rules. Each of them sat wherever they pleased and was in deep thought over their three individual rules.
"Rule #3: The first one to spot target spends the entire day with her." Javier said.
"Bullshit." the two others called. Now it was a rule that if 2/3rds of them did not like the rule made, it could be altered, if not, however, it would remain absolute.
Javier chuckled,"What? You two should actually just go to school early."
"Even so, you have the advantage of being in her homeroom." Marcus squinted.
"Fine. Okay... Rule #3: We each get to spend one day of the week with target-- uninterupted... unless target says otherwise."
The looked at each other and the silence made the rule final.
"Rule #4: No one hurts target." said Dae-Hyun. Marcus raised his brows and Javier giggled, "My, my, my, Lee Dae-Hyun has a soft spot for our little target."
Another rule was when talking about the deal, they can never refer to them by their real name which is why they have a plethora of code names, this target's code name was still undecided.
Dae-Hyun did not retort, but instead gave his last rule, "Rule #5: No outside assets."
The two others raised a brow and shrugged in agreement.
"Rule #6: All fights inside the game and in school stay inside." Marcus stated. "Rule #7: Family stays out if this."
"Rule #8: No cutting classes." Javier smirked, knowing both barely even went to even simply homeroom. He then laughed, "And Rule #9: No one uses the zombies for anything."
And as they nodded in agreement and went off, they agreed upon the unspoken tenth rule: none of this will be spoken to anyone else, no matter what.
"Ugh, I swear, if no one shows up and Kai starts snoring..." Gail groaned, trailing off, making the said snorer laugh in amusement."Hey, it's not my fault I do this! And anyway, I heard there finally is going to be a new English teacher and I hear she's young and hot."Cece rolled her eyes and kicked Kai's leg, under the chair from behind him.Gail, who sat in the middle of my and Kai's shoulders slammed her head on the table. And Nina, who was chatting up with some people on her phone, silently turned around at us then back to her screen, nodding her head in disapproval.Kai's bruised cheek, by the way, was not too visible now.Just as someone else altogether was about to complain about the lack of facilitators present, the front door swung open and the sound of heels clicking on the ground followed."Good morning," files and a bag was placed on the front desk, "Long story-sh
"What do mean Javier apologized?" Cece practically fainted. "AND WHAT THE HECK IS 'HE EVEN INVITED ME TO LUNCH' SUPPOSED TO MEAN?""I mean he kept bothering me the whole day yesterday and I don't even know why." I groaned as I stuffed my bag in my gym locker to the right of Cece's, which was next to Gail's, which was next Nina's. It was a miracle that we all had PE class together, along with English; even Kai was here, just not here-here because, well, this was the girl's locker room."But WHY?" Cece groaned out and sighed, slamming her locker door shut. "What possessed that man to be like that all of a sudden?" Nina added."Honestly, I have no clue." I spoke as I crouched down and tied my shoe lace."He probably must've hit his head or something." Gail scoffed a chuckle. "But whatever it is, it seems fishy so don't let your guard down, Lilac." she added makig me smile."Don't worry, I won't.""Okay, gather
"Sit down before the devil comes!" I whisper-yelled to Gail who was pacing around the room in order to get a good signal on her phone. You are correct if you assumed that we were currently in history class and the teacher of the hour was, indeed, Mr. Pozwich, the lord of darkness himself.Gail huffed and sprang over to me, her seat being to the left of mine after all. She huffed and sat on her chair, violently tapping the screen of her phone where the resend button was. She cussed and dropped the object in frustration, absolutely done with trying.I chuckled just as she groaned."Shut up, I'm waiting for a really important text, okay.""Ooooh, is it from your boyfriend?" I teased. She narrowed her eyes at me and pushed my shoulder, "No. It's from my mom."I wiggled my eyebrows, "Course it is."Just as she glared, all the sound and all the life in the room died down and along came our favorite tea
I was now in English class, sitting next to Kai, who I also was chatting up while we did our first seatwork. The chatting particularly revolved around the fact I was going to be doing a group project with Dae-Hyun at will be doing it his house."At least Andy will be there. He would never let that jerk do something to you." Kai grumbles.I raise a brow and purse my lips, "Is Dae-Hyun really that bad?""Lilac," he groans out as he turned his body to me, "How can you even give him the benefit of the doubt after what he did to you?"I groan and curl my arms together, resting my head on them, "I don't know, I just... I don't work like that. I'm hopelessly optimistic sometimes."Kai sighs, "You wanna know somethin'? I resent him most.""Why?"He chuckled dryly, "Why? Well, because he and I used to be friends at one point in time."My jaw dropped; I nearly fainted. "You, you in all your cute sunshine, used to be friends with people that go around pouring vinegar on other people?"He clenched
Andy and Daehyun were still staring each other down when a group of voice broke out, "I told you, I didn't leave the -".Andy, Dae-Hyun and I turned to the source, surprisingly gazing upon Javier, Marcus, and a girl with designer pumps. Both them and us having gotten silenced by the sight of each other, it was yet another voice that spoke up which brought us back to reality.I couldn't understand what he said since it was in Korean.Just then, Dae-Hyun's older brother walks off to where he should be going. I watch as he does."Hyung, were you talking about me?" Javier muttered questioningly, half-mockingly, I would think. From what limited things I know of Korean, I think the word Javier said meant olde brother. he groaned, apparently knowing well how his name is spoken in Korean.Dae-Hyun turned to the guy and smirked, but then suddenly his face dropped, "What are you three doing here?""What is she doing here?" Marcus countered and nodded my way.Dae-Hyun scoffed in a chuckle, "It's
"WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUUUUPPP!" a rude, tiny voice shouted and shook me in my bed. I, in turn, whinced and groaned loudly, begrudingly opening my eyes and seeing my sister and brother sprawled on me bed with annoyingly large smiles on their faces."TULILA YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR STINKY BUTT OFF YOUR BED, IT'S LATE!" my sister called, bouncing on the mattress, making me roll over to see what time it was."GAHH, IT'S 5:46 IN THE MORNING!""Yeah, but you have to get reaaaadddy!" Periwinkle dragged out, resting her head on my stomach, making me sigh at her cuteness, "Periwinkle, it's a Saturday!""But," another voice spoke, "remember how we promised we'd take her jogging with us after we moved and got all sorted out?" Roux stated with a smirk that meant, 'if I don't sleep, neither do you.'I groaned in remembrance and pushing my sister softly away, rolling the other side, "Five more minutes.""Nope. We gunna go NOOOW!" Periwinkle growled in all her cuteness. She
Guess what, Abigail Alonzo abandoned me and called in sick, therefore I am left to battle the horrors of Langley Academy on my own for today and tentatively tomorrow. Yay!What's worse was I had class today that held students I do not know, but they all seemed to know me well, judging by the judging looks on their faces. What the hell, what did I do to them?Pulling out my phone, I texted Cece, Nina, and Kai:SOS, I AM SO ALONE SCIENCE!!!! ):Fiery Fox (Nina, just because she's a red head): ahhh, sci class is supposed to be lonely :pThe True Queen Empress (Cece, who found Andy's nickname for me so amusing she dubbed herself that, on my phone that is): WAIT A LITTLE LONGER, IT'S ALMOST LUNCH TIME BABY!!!!!!!!!!My Favorite Contact <3 (Kai, whose name he picked himself. Gosh he can be so full of himself): DO YOU WANT ME TO STEAL YOU AWAY??? SCREW DETENTIONI laughed at all their replies and turned b
There were two voices speaking Russian. "I swear, mama oughtta slap you silly for that." "Sashka, I swear, if you are stupid enou-" the voice halted his reply to the similar sounding one. "Is that..." "Lilac?" a voice questioned and the gentle touch of a hand on my shoulder suddenly arrived. I didn't move and had stopped crying when this happened. "What should we do?" "We should carry her to-" "I'm fine." I blurted out, cutting off the words of whoever spoke, raising my head from my arms where it was tucked. The two, who were Sashka and Mishka, which is which, I didn't know for certain, seeing my definitely blotchy face, knit their brows and had their expressions soften. "What's wrong?" the one to my right asked. "Do you need us to do anything?" the one on my left added, his softened features hardening with anger. I sighed and nodded, looking between them in confusion. "No, no. I'm... just..
