Chapter 6

"How long was I out?" I asked him curiously. He stared me with an alienated look.

"Why did you suddenly ask that?"

"I just wanted to know if I was still dreaming or something," I said and gaze back at the heavy book in front of me.

"You're unconscious for three days." My eyes almost fell out of its sockets when I heard his response.

"Three days?! And you didn't wake me up because?!"

"Do you even realize where you are right now?" he asked me with a bored look.

"Actually, now that you mentioned it, where are we?" he slowly walked towards my direction and took the seat in front of me.

"We're in the Kingdom of Flamis in Narte Fantasia. This is  your mother's home."

"What do you mean my mother's home?" I asked while looking at the floating books around us.

"You, your mom, your dad, and I, we are called Fantasians. We live here, in Narte Fantasia." He explained patiently.

"Now, let me show you, how all of this started," he said and raised his hands, his palm open wide as if he's waiting for something to come to him. And before I knew it, a book came flying towards him.

He let the book reside on the table as well, opposite the prophecy book I was holding. He stared at me for a while before he gave me a sad smile.

"Welcome to your parent's life story, Princess," he said before a blinding bright lights hovered us after he opened the book.

"Princess Blare! Princess! Gracious, the Queen will be mad if she heard you're trying to sneak out once again!" Api, a servant of the palace said as she runs after their mischievous princess.

"Shhh! Api, keep it down! You'll alert the guards." Princess Blare loudly whispered as she was scanning their surrounding for any threats.

"But Princess---" Api can't help but stare hopelessly at the back of the Princess who was too busy finding the right timing to sneak out without the guards noticing her.

"Come'n!" Blare said while gesturing Api to follow her, she walked vigilantly around the halls of the palace and immediately went through the door behind the palace. The door was specifically made for the exit of the servants who live outside of the palace.

"Finally!" she cheered when she went passed through the last gate without any hassle.

"Api! Let's go! I heard there was some sort of public performance in the Kabisera!" Blare blabbered as she pull Api towards the direction going to the capital of Narte Fantasia.

Blare was looking at the crowd of Kabisera with excitement and adoration.

"Where were the public performances usually held here, Api?" she asked the girl who keeps on nervously looking around them, afraid that someone would just pounced on them to assassinate the princess.

"Hey, Api! Relax! I got this." she said and faced her personal muranda.

"But Prin—Blare, this is really dangerous!" Api immediately changed the way she addressed the princess when she saw the eyes of the latter, threatening her.

"I told you, relax! You're going to get us exposed! Just act normal, blend in with the crowd!" As soon as the princess finished her words, loud noises distracted the whole Kabisera.

"Get out of the way!" Api heard someone screamed.

"Prin---"Api's face was drained with its colors when she turned around and saw the princess was dragged by the boy who was being chased with horses.

According to the symbols imprinted on the horse's reigns, these people are glacias. People coming from the Kingdom of Glaciers.

On the other hand, Blare immediately shifted her gaze back at the boy who just pulled her.

"Who are you? What do you need?" she asked, panting. She tried putting on more weights to stop the boy from running, but to her amazement, the boy produced a 'tsked' and immediately put her on his shoulder and carried her like a sack of rice.

"What the hell?! Put me down!" Blare continued on cussing the boy until she felt him put his hands on her mouth. She felt something cold and then, she can't speak anymore!

"Sorry for that. But you're going to ruin my plans if you keep on blabbering like that." the guy told her before he took a turn on a narrow road and hid behind a stack of woods.

He put her down and peek a little to make sure that they were not followed by anyone anymore.

The guy immediately relaxed and blew out an exasperated sigh. His gaze moved to the woman who was staring at her with one of her brows raised.

He almost forgot about the girl who blocked his way earlier, if he didn't take her with him, the guards of the palace would most likely hurt her for blocking their way. And that was never on his plan, well getting caught sneaking around the palace was never a part of his plan either.

He walked towards the girl and put his hands over the girl's mouth once again, immediately melting the ice that covered the girl's mouth.

"I'm sorr--- shit!" the guy was about to apologize when he felt his clothes getting burned, he immediately put the fire off using his powers and gave the girl a murderous glare.

"Serves you right." said the girl and playfully let her tongue out to annoy the guy even more.

"You're so petty!" the guy whined while trying to heal the slight burn on his torso.

When Blare saw that the guy was actually hurt, she immediately felt guilty and approached the guy to check on him.

"Let me," she said and gently cast away the guy's hand away from his burn and replaced it with hers instead.

The guy immediately felt relief as soon as she had placed her hands on his skin. They remained silent as Blare tends to his injury.

"I'm sorry." Blare quietly said as soon as she finished.

The guy tried to meet her eyes, but due to the guilt she felt, she looks everywhere but him.

But he was never known to have a long patience, so when he realized that the girl was refusing to look at him, he took her chin using his hands and gently angled it so that she can stare right through his eyes.

It was just at that moment when both of their eyes showed recognition and realization. The guy immediately let go of Blare's chin and stared at her quietly.

Blare, who never liked silence break the ice between them.

"Prince Ice, huh?"

"So the rumors about Princess Blare being sneaky was indeed true?" Ice said with a hint of a smile on his cold face.

Blare just snorted at what he said and comfortably sat on a pavement near the stack of woods where they hid earlier.

"So why do your subordinates running after you?" she curiously asked, her attention was only directed at him, her hands holding her face while being supported with her legs.

Ice just shrugged his shoulders and sat beside her.

"Well, can I conclude that you were a sneaky prince as well?" Blare asked comfortably with a warm smile.
