Book Two (Chapter Seven)

KB's POV

It was two weeks after I had gotten home from the hospital. Emma was at work a lot and so I had to spend a lot of time with the kids. The doctors said it would be another two weeks before I could go back to recording music. 

But what I really wanted to do was go and hunt Kyle and Linda down. The kids couldn't go to school anymore because we were afraid it was a security threat. Emma was really stubborn and would not allow KB to persuade her to stop going to work. And everytime she stepped out the door, my heart started to beat fast. What if something happened to my wife? How would we cope without Emma? My mind would start to ask all the questions. And then she'd come back home and I would breath easy. 

I was about to get up to have my shower when my phone started to ring. 

It was Ezra. 

"Hey." I said after I had answered it. 

"Hey kiddo. How are you?" I scoffed. I was about to turn 31 but he was still calling me t
